How long have been with your girlfriend until getting merried?

I have known my girlfriend for more than seven years,but we began our love relationship one and a half years ago. Now my girlfriend is always asking me the same question:when will we get merried. 'After two year' is my direct answer. and she doesn't buy it. This kind of thing bother me a lot. Even though I don't hate geting merried, I just don't think the recent years is the right moment for me to start a family. I had to finish my PhD doctor period first. Hi,dose any one have such problem like me?

well.. my wifey is also my female bestfriend. first, we became bestfriends for 4 years (since 1999), then became lovers for 5 years (since 2003), and we finally got married last month. 
i guess i'm in a position to tell you this.. if you really intend to marry her someday, let her feel it. make her comfortable with what you guys are now, and assure her that after your PhD, you'll get married. it really is just a matter of constant and honest conversation. meanwhile, learn more about each other. not all marriages are successful, you know.. you still have a chance, work things out, know more about each other. and when the time is right, everything will go right into place.
