I am addicted to popsicles, fudcicles...
Of course, my favorites are the homemade ones.
I think I have used every flavor of Jello, pudding, drink mix, smoothie, ice cream...
Please tell me you have new ideas for popsicles.

Here is are some that my children love.
Orange Julius
Get frozen orange juice NO PULP (ick). Mix it half and half with MILK not water. Then pour it into your Popsicle thingy and freeze... YUM freeze or drink.
Sunrise
A variation of this is to use frozen cranberry juice in it too. Juice 2/3 orange juice, 1/3 cranberry....mix with equal amounts of milk. and freeze or drink.
Purple Cow
Mix frozen purple grape juice half and half with milk. Freeze or drink.
The best Popsicles are the ones where you mix frozen juice with milk...They are creamier and tastier. Try other juices with milk...Just don't try apple (that is NOT a good combination) lol
Try them out see if u like em.

OK Purple Cow is going to be my next treat! Those sound fantastic.
I want to make banana ones, but just haven't found the right ingredients yet, any ideas?

I know those packages, and have seen them at my local gorcery store, I will give that a try.
I tried the Nestle banana milk and tried making them with that, it was not good! But i will give this a try, thank you so much for mentioning those packages.

I do have an idea for banana ones, isnt that scary. You know over in the produce aisles near the bananas they usually have these little packets of premix to add to home-made banana smoothies.... How about trying making a banana smoothie and freeze it. You could even wait till it was crystallied but not frozen..you know half way there? and drop some chocolate chips in, to make banana smoothie surprise pops!!
Tell me if it works lol and ill keep thinkin lol.

I have not made popsicles from a recipe, when I was a child my mother used to have the plastic molds and use fruit juices. Actually about a month ago, I decided to put grape juice in my ice trays, I did not have any sticks though, but when they were frozen, they were a tasty little special treat. I think I may try your popsicle recipe. Popsicles are so refreshing if the weather is hot. I usually do not eat them in the winter months.

No stick? No Problem! You can use toothpicks in ice trays, pour your juice in the trays, cover it with seran wrap, stick the tooth picks through the saran wrap so they will stand up, or you can just lay them down on the edge of the tray, they don't have to be standing up.
I have used those jellybean jello trays to make bit size ones before, with no sticks

I'd love to see the recipies you've tried.
Never really thought about even making them on my own. We usually just buy the cheapie for the kids. As I can't see buying the more expensive tastier ones to watch them melt on the floor half eaten KWIM?

I have literally hundreds of recipes for popsicles, but I need to wait and hear from the mylot staff before posting any recipes, I had forgotten we were not supposed to post recipes and such when I asked for recipes. My bad. And I was REALLY hoping to hear from other popsicle fans on their ideas.
Homemade popsciles are the best! And using the right ingredients can also help with that melting problem.
Thanks for adding to this discussion,

Homemade popsicles are great! Generally more nutritious than commercial treats and cheaper, too! Though the greatest commercial popsicle ever made, in my opinion, was the Jello Pudding Pop. Drool!
Maybe adding some small slices of fruit, like strawberries or peaches to the popsicles before freezing might be something new to try. :-)

that is a cool idea, I never really did that, other than when using smoothie recipes to create popsicles, good thinking, and thank you for the tip!
