Neighbours

Where we are now we've had the best neighbors so far in my life. We all get along witch is awsome. Though a few have their quirks and one drives us batty if you've ever had a run in w/ a wife who talks like a mouse and appears to be a lil slow & stares at ya @ times & her hubby who talks like he's some sort of "know it all" but is constantly putting his foot in his mouth. But in reality they are all a good bunch and will lend a hand if needed. The worst were a group of foreigners when I was a teen in an apt w/ my mom that would throw crazy parties on the weekends and blasting music and even overflowed out into the hall way til dawn. I used to turn my speakers around tward that walls & play AC/DC and by the time the one side of the tape was done amazingly it was quiet and I could sleep in my room w/o hearing their party & doing the deed. EWWW!

Hi coffeeshot, I have been living here foe over 20 years and all my neightbour are briliant, we are all friendly ttowards each other, but I like a noisey household like when we were kids but now its only me and my husband and my house is too quiet, I expect you will get on well with your new neighbours. I have very quiet neighbors who tend to keep to themselves, like we do too. We live in a 4-storey apartment building and I think I only talk with about 5 people at most, since I've been here (two years).

hmm.. the best were this family directly to the side.our families were very close,still are. worst-that's easy.a guy on the second floor on the other side would always get drunk and beat his wife(who was also drunk).i don't know how many times the neighborhood called the cops on them.they had 5 kids there too,somehow never taken away from them.

I also hope your neighbors are nice... but since your grandfather already extended help... then that could be the start of something good... my neighbors right now are currently very nice... and considerate when it comes no making noise and having friends around... not like the first ones who live next door to us... they were students who held parties almost every night... My landlady god fed up with them... and they were asked to leave...

We have gotten along with most of our neighbors. We do not know a lot of our neighbors because they come and go. I do like out new neighbors on one side of me. The other neighbor is one that I worked with for years so I love her.

My best neighbours was my tenents when i was pursuing my MCA they entered in my house.Its a small family with a son and daughter and daughter is similar to my age we became good friends with in short period.Mean while parents also became good friends.

Since they have a baby they should definitely learn to be tolerant if they aren't already. I mean with all the noise a baby makes, they may ought to hang around your younger siblings just to get used to what happens when those babies start growing up! : ) My worst neighbor was the one that used to live in the apartment opposite me. He smoked pot (illegal here), used to throw his stuff down the stairs instead of carrying it (no matter what time it was), and when his two young sons would visit he did nothing when one of them peed on my patio (really just a slab of concrete, but I have the right to keep it pee free). : )

Worst neighbours, when I lived in a apt. upstairs would play their tv so loud I could understand every word, all night long. Best neighbor, accross the street, I would sit out front with her and talk while the kids played. She and her husband moved not so far away about a year ago. I still see them every weekend, but I miss sitting on the pourch in the eveninngs with her.

We don't associate very much with our neighbors. We are lucky in that our house in inside a tall fence which keep intruders out. This also keeps us from bothering our neighbors and vice versa and this is how I like it. Cheers!!

I recall when I was young, I would play with my neighbour and always having fun. Now, I don't find some good neighbours, which are almost totally strangers.

I don't think I've ever had "good neighbors" - I've lived next to a completely anti-social crazy guy (he had no furniture - not even lamps!) - he was great because he kept to himself, but also mildly creepy. Now I have obnoxious neighbors - I feel like they're always spying on us! They constantly are making noise - like honking horns at 11 pm! And then there are some neighbors I can't even see their house but they have these wild parties with concert volume music and they also do things like fireworks and go hunting at night... Some people are very lucky and have great neighbors. I don't mind our neighbors really too much, but they do a few things that could drive me bonkers someday!

hi coffeeshot our worst neighbors lived below us in our next to last apartment. she complained every time we took a breath that we were making noise. she even complained when we were not at home at all.finally the manager got so sick of all of it she evicted us instead of the neighbor from hell. here now on the corner apartment is one of the nicest woman I have ever met.I am 81 and walk with a brace and cane. I tripped and fell and she was out of her apartment and picking me up before i had time to more than blink. i am a large woman and she is petite yet she picked me up and stood me on my feet, also she replaced the gallon of milk i had been carrying, just a very kind very sweet compassionate lady.

Hey Hey I hope the new neighbors turn out to be nice , and not too much of a prob . keep the fingers crossed . and we all have our zoo moments with noise . my parents have been staying with my hubby and me , and well they brought their 4 dogs , and let me tell you its nuts , and noisy , and i wonder what they think of us The worst neighbours we had was when i was a kid and in my childhood home . the parents were crazy and so were the kids . they were loud , mean , kids got in trouble all the time . it was just a what ever goes house . Crazy !

I have had alot of bad neighbors everywhere we have lived and very few nice ones. We now live in a subdivision and it is worse than ever. they are not nice and they have trash everywhere. They won't even wave when they pass by when we are out in the yard.

You mean besides the neighborhood where they trained to be burglers? I guess the worst here were the ones that had loud, obsene rap music going all day and into the evening. It wasn't really them, it was their A.H. friends that came over to use their water (since they were in a house not an apartment) to wash their car - with their, so called, music turned up so loud the pictures rattled on OUR walls. We, the neighbors, raised such a stink about them that the landlord finally evicted them.

i remember moving out from one apartment to another twice because of our neighbors...we always complain about them partying every night when our apartment was just a wall apart and can always hear them screaming singing n the middle of the night...they finish in the morning as usual..this are not just young couples with babies but they are whole family...we tried to talk to them about it but never did they listen so we moved out because we had fights with it...plus the children are playing infront of our door and keep banging the screen door...

I have been pretty lucky with neighbours, but I remember the first place that I ever lived in away from my parents and some of the neighbours there were really horrible to me, on account that I was a single parent. Then the last place I lived 3 years ago the neighbours there were bad too it was quite a scary place to live at times. The best neighbours are the ones that I have now, they are lovely people. They do not interfere or make a nuisance of themselves and they love our children and always make a fuss of them.

well, we are lucky to have kind and helpful neighbours in our community... i can still remember the time when one of my mom's closest pals in our area helped us out when my sister was attacked by our dog... They accompanied us all the way to the hospital and they even stayed inside the room to comfort my mom...
