Hi, Im from Libya . Our national anthem is a poem written by an Egyptian poet during the Suez canal war . It's title is (Allahoo Akbar) (God is the greatest)
the lyrics go like this:
.Allahoo akbar fow ka kay dil mo tady= (allah is greater than the enemies' devices)
.Allahoo lil maz loomy kheyroo moo ey yiddy= (allah is the best ally for the opressed)
.Ana bil ya keeny wa bil si lahhy sa af tady (I will pay with my life and my weapons )
.Ba la dee wa noo rol hak ky yas ta oo fee ya dee (for my country, the light of justice shining in my hand)
Koo loo ma ee, koo loo ma ee ( say after me,say after me)
Allah allah alla hoo akbar (God, god,god is the greatest )
Alla hoo fow kal mo ta dee (God is greater than the invaders)

the national anthem is god save the queen, but i'd say the national song, for the English at leat is Jerusalem (may seem weird as we are no where near jerusalem but its actually about this green and pleasent land)

People have talked of changing it but I think we are stuck with "God Save the Queen"! "Jerusalem" is sort of a national song ('And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountains green ...') and so is "Rule Britannia" (except we no longer 'rule the waves').

It is O Canada
English
O Canada our home and native land
true patriot love in all thy sons command
with glowing hearts we see thee rise,
the true north strong and free
from far and wide o Canada
We stand on guard for thee
God keep our land glorious and free
O Canada we stand on guard for thee
O Canada we stand on guard for thee
French
O Canada
Terre de nos aieux
ton front est ceint
de fleurons glorieux
car ton bras sait porter lépée
il sait porter la croix
ton historire est une épopée
des plus brillants exploits
et ta valeur de foi trempée
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits
protégera nos foyers et nos droits
There you have it

My country's national song it's "Inno di Mameli", in english "Mameli's anthem" , I think... It's the national anthem of Italy. The original name was " Canto degli italiani", in english "Italians song" and Goffredo Mameli , a patriot of our Risorgimento, wrote it in 1847. But Italy choosed to get this song like national anthem only in 1946, and it officially became our anthem straight in 2005.

I am from India. our National song Vande Mataram, composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterji, was a source of inspiration to the people in their struggle for freedom. It has an equal status with Jan Gan Mana - Our National Anthem. The first political occasion when it was sung was the 1896 session If the Indian National Congress .
