Thats something which every person should learn .. swimmimg may be a hobby but can come as a life saver also. But what i'd like to know is how to learn swimming..i have tried many ways to learn swimming but i think fundamentally, ther is something which everyone studies first after several attempts and then they learn it i'd like to know how a person learns to float on water, may be the basic in learning swimming...is ther any other methods to learn without using swimming aids??

The very best way to learn how to swim is to get drown. Yes, sounds funny yet its true. You will notice your body gained immunity to pressure and you can able to control its response towards your body. You can now try to lay down your body in water and spread your arms, you will noticed that you can now float over water, that's a pretty good way to start. It's not something to do with basics strokes and other simulations with regards to learning it, because if your body can't handle the flaws, you won't learn no matter how hard you try.

I studied swimming when I was still young, I think you start from learning the basics and continue going till the advanced levels.
I would suggest for you is practice, the only way to learn better is to practice more. Because I myself right now have already forgotten some strokes etc. so I would suggest you practice from time to time. Also It's ok to use swimming aids, but after a while try swimming without them. :)
