Are you a person that sometimes cuts or trim your own hair?

I do! Sometimes it is too much trouble to go to a salon and try to explain what I want. They speak Arabic here in Egypt so I cant explain what style I would like even if I wanted to! lol. Do you ever cut your own hair as well? Have you ever really done a bad job and had to end up going salon anyway?

I trim my own hair all the time. The only time I did a bad job was when I was a kid and I over heard my mother telling my aunt that I needed a hair cut. I took it into my own hands and chopped my hair really oddly so my hair had to be cut really short.
However, I put my hair into sections and just trim off the bad ends. I may end up going and getting an official haircut sometime, but not anytime soon. I'm trying to grow it long anyway, so if it gets to a certain point I may cut it off evenly so I can keep it at a pretty even length.

Oh yeah, she was pretty angry. I had clumps of hair all over the house and kind of in a line so she was able to follow the hair trail. She found me hiding in the laundry room and as soon as she saw me, she used my full name and I knew I was in trouble.
I still hear about it to this day about how angry she was when she found me with the scissors hiding in the laundry room.

i have been wanting to try to cut my hair but i was scared enough to do something as that. hahaha!!! what happened was my cousins who paid me a visit did the trimming and creation of my bangs. haha. it turned out good and thanks to them. now that it has grew a bit longer, i didn't want to touch my hair at all because i might cut it the wrong way and damage it. hahaha! fear of having a bad look on my hair. id rather leave it growing longer and longer rather than doing something i know i am not good at. haha!!

Hi skbh12, You are lucky to have someone cut your hair, and I do understand that you scared to cut it by yourself, as you said that you might cut in a wrong way. I just trim my hair and I also have a long hair so I find easy to trim it. Thanks for the response.
