how do you tame a big doggy? help

my dog is getting out of control. he is a german shephard, about 25 inches tall, and weighs 80 pounds. he just runs all over the place and messing everything up. he never listens to me. i've tried many dog lessons, but after he graduates, he still have the same behavior. i had to replace and move many of the furnitures for him. he have a biting problem too. when i have guests, he attacks them when they come in. help please~
