big blow for liverpool. they have lost precious two points. every one predicted easy win for liverpool against newly promoted stoke but they drew with them in there home. how badly is tat going to affect liverpool chances? football is so unpredictable these days, the won against man utd last week and drew with stoke this week. liverpool fans must be disappointed. but, i fell liverpool was a bit unlucky, there were more than 20 attempts on the goal and ref denied gerad goal. there is nuthing to take awaya from stoke, they fought very hard. this will sure boost there confidence.

Though I saw only the second half today and could only watch replays of the disallowed goal, I should say Stoke played off their skins to deny liverpool a goal. It was like watching one team attack and the other defend. Though the result amused to an extent as I'm a United fan, it was a practical demonstration of what mourinho says when teams play defencive football: "parking a bus in front of goal". I would hate seeing any team do the same to United but there's nothig else they can do. Attacking football against big teams is calling for trouble. As far as liverpool's chances of winning the league are concerned, I think they should concentrate on the cups and the CL. The league will be gone for another season by december.

I dun quite agree with u that liverpool should just concentrate on cups and CL. As far as I'm concerned, the chances for liverpool to win the league is still there. This is just an early stage to rule Liverpool out of the race. If u do so, looking at the league table, u must as well rule Man Utd out of the title race. And seriously speaking, tmr's match against chelsea is a huge deciding factor for man utd. It can be a morale booster or breaker for the rest of the season. For me, Chelsea is currently the favourites to win EPL, not arsenal, liverpool or even Man Utd.

liverpool are for cups and champions league....i dont think so rahul. it too early in the season to write them off. they have a lot of potential and strong squad. i do agree that they lost precious two points which could been won easyly. but i dont think they will be off by december. i fell all top four teams have good chance of wining epl this year. at movement man utd is team which looking the least favorite for me. this is jst for the movement. if they lose tommorw to chelsea there chance to win look very weak to me. chelsea are not inexperienced team like arsenal to throw awaya 9 point lead. i fell this year chances of wining epl are better for chelsea, arsenal and liverpool but not man utd. lets see how it shapes up.

Stoke City FC - Stoke City Football Club is a football club based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Founded in 1863, Stoke is the oldest club in the Premier League, and the second oldest professional football club after Notts County.
That really is a surprising result. I didn't watch the game, but I was listening to a sport-basted radio, and they announce every goal live. I remember them saying that Gerrard scored, somewhere around the 2nd minute of the game, but they didn't say the goal was denied... I believe playing against the small teams is totally different than playing against the strong ones. A strong team will come out and play, and anything can happen (as it did with Man Utd), whilst a small team comes to Anfield Road to defend and hope they manage a draw. I'm sure Stoke tried that today, and, to their fortune, they succeeded. I don't think it's such a big blow for Arsenal, as The Premiership has only just begun, and the other teams aren't doing so well either (except for Chelsea, who I hope will lose to MU tomorrow ).

yep stvasile, this really suprising result for me too. comeing to the goal, gerrad has scored from the free kick and started celebrating but soon ref raised offside flag. fernando torres was culprit. it was really disappointing movement for the liverpool fans. yep, playing against small team is different. yep, i know that you are a man utd fan and u would be cheering for them tomorrow. i am neither fan of man utd or chelsea. but i want chelsea to win tomorrow because, i had betted $10 on them. let see wat happens. one man's loss is another man's gain. i dont know weather i will win or not but good and entertaining football is assured. happy myloting...

As a Stoke fan I am disappointed we didn't win! Kitson had a great chance after he beat Reina although to be fair Liverpool really came at Stoke in the last ten minutes with Gerrard narrowly missing scoring. That's two points this season of Liverpool or if you're a Liverpool fan 4pts dropped ;)
