Do you get angry if someone spells your name wrongly????

oh i dont mind.. if they are constantly doing it i just figure they may have it as a pet name for me.. my nickname came from some one slurring my name so it doesnt bother me

i haven't had seen my name mispelled or mispronouce, maybe for my last name but not for my first name, i do not get angry though...my name is easy to pronounce because its known worldwide by people.. i am diamond..

I don't usually get mad if my name misspelled or pronounced incorrect I laugh instead of getting angry. If I noticed or found out my name was misspelled or incorrectly pronounce, I just correct them. The common reason why it happen because they never heard a name like mine. Sometimes they think my name pronounces as "Marvel" or "Maricel"

sure. i will get angry if any one spells my name wrongly. some time i will not react to them when they they spell the name wrong. if they ask, i will reply that its not my name.

Even I do not like it if people spell my name incorrect. I even feel bad if they pronounce it in incorrect manner.

I get up set wehn they dont say my name right. most call me Joanne and that isnt my name at all .

I don't get mad if they spell it wrong but I don't like it. Now if I have told them seveal times they have spelled it wrong and they still keep spelling it wrong then I will get a little anry. My daughters name gets spelled wrong all of the time. Have to correct people on it alot.

I am used to having my named spelled wrong because there are a lot of ways to spell my name. I just correct them and move on. Its when my name is mispronounced that drives me nuts.

I don't get angry when someone spells my name wrong unless it's been published and other people get to see it. Lol. Seriously, I just tell the other person of their mistake and just hope that they don't make the same mistake again. If they keep spelling it wrong, then I probably would have an issue with it.

I know some people do get annoyed especially if it is an unusual name which mine isn't so I don't really get that problem..I get annoyed when people shorten my name that really gets to me.

Hello Vemal, My name is Amy and there are only a few ways you can miss spell my name I think. Amie, Ammie I can not think of any other ways it could be spelled wrong. So the answer I would like to share with you is. Do I get angry when someone mis spells my name, I would have to say no. I am not a very angry person to beginn with I feel anger is a waste of precious time. If someone was to mis spell my name I would just pleasently tell them the correct way to spell it. My name is always misspelled , even though its written clearly as prajnith people always spell my name as pranjith. since my first year in engineering till now (4th),most of the teacher been pronouncing my name wrongly, i used to get angry mainly because my friends make fun of me after anyone misspells my name. but now am used to it to be honest am fedup of correcting them.

well. VIMAL... for me it isn`t so important the way people spell or pronounce your name,,, but it is very important to pay respect to u.. they could call me wwhatever they want as long as they treat me with respect

Yea, Vimal, I hate it when people spell my name wrong or call me names other then my real name which is Bart. Usually, my last name is the one that gives people problems though, because it is eleven letters long and kind of unusual. So, why did you use vimaal as you screen name? LOL! Happy MyLotting...

Not really angry but annoyed that it is misspelled. If you have to write my name then you should do it properly or don't spell it at all. Names should be remembered especially spellings. It would cause embarrassment if this error is committed, so people must be extra careful.

yes lots of people spell my name wrong if they are friends or family people always spell it wrong but im so use to it that now I dont get angry when they spell it wrong I just tell them the right way to spell it or I say my name is joe or jorge or something else it dont make me that angry as it use to befor I use to get soooo mad I just wanted to hit them but im use to it not and I dont really care if they spell it wrong

No, coz i know that the spelling of my name is not that common. My name is Rocel. You read it like R-O-S-E-L. Usually people always spell it wrongly, writing my name like Roselle, Rosselle, or Rusel. In other way i understand them. And besides, the spelling doesn't matter at all, as long as that person knows you and never forget you.
