Do I get paid to upload videos to You Tube?

Just like Google's adsense is You Tube another place where I can earn for uploading videos. I heard that one gets paid based on number of views. Is it true?

it would be great if we can earn some from youtube, but from what I know we cannot earn anythng by uploading video there... althogh it's still a new website to share things with other and find the stuffs you want to see there.

well 5mayday srry to disturb u but u r wrong wen u say we dont get money for uploading videos . actually youtube doesnt pay u for uploading videos but other sites like metacafe.com give u huge money for uploading our own videos.and u can c the proof on the site . wen u watch any video on metacafe.com u will c the income earned by each video below it

I know about these sites.... but cant you see that I am only talkig about youtube in my response XD
