To continue with my dancing theme which I started a few days ago I have another related question to ask of you: Can you name some of your all-time favorite dancers? They can be from the big screen or small screen -or even someone you happen to know personally. I'll start the ball rolling with Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rodgers, Juliet Prowse, Michael Jackson, John Travolta, and Savion Glover. Now I'd like to know some of your favorites.

I would have to say Michael Jackson moonwalk in Thriller. I also would like to mention Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing.

I love a lot of the "old" time greats..you mentioned a few like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Ginger Rodgers....there's also Cyd Charrise, Ann Miller, Chita Rivera....and lets not forget some of the newer greats like Patrick Swayze...wonder how he's doing anyway? I've had a lot for many ballet dancers as well. I was flabbergasted that one time I came across an old taping on YouTube of Maria Tallchief...she was a tad before my time and was one of my mother's favorite dancers...she was the only Native American ballet dancer of her time....

I love them all, pyewacket! And I am familiar with Maria Tallchief also. I recently saw Patrick Swayze on TV and he is looking much better. He said he is doing well.

You mention all fantastic dancers in this discussion but I prefer to watch Patrick Swayze. He is so sexy and has perfect dance moves. "Dirty Dancing" is one of my favorite movies and have watched it so many times that I know exactly when he is going to dance and when to pay close attention. He was recently on Oprah and still has all those wonderful moves even though he's been sick and is over 50. I do have to say something about how wonderful Michael Jackson dances also: he is amazing.

I guess I would add Patrick Swayze to that list. I do not know many modern or contemporary dancers, I would have gone with the Gene Kelly, etc. school of dance.

My favourite is Hrithik Roshan from the Hindi film industry in India. He is my favourite because he dances very gracefully and he performs even the toughest dances steps with ease.
