Can we delete a discussion that we have started?

I have sometimes wondered if there was a way to delete discussions that have zero responses,especially if you are looking at your discussions and you find out you made an big typo or some other sort of error that you did not catch before submitting the discussion,and I think mylot should definitely consider making it so that people can delete discussions that they have started,because it would help people who have a lot of discussions to get rid of the ones that do not get any responses and just take up space.

No you can't I wish you could I know there has been times I wanted a discussion to go away and it wouldn't. I think there should at least be away to close a discussion but there isn't Hugs Rachel

I don't think those discussions without a response should be deleted, I believe those discussions should be solved! I also have some discussions with no response, and I don't like that either. But I'm still hoping someone will respond them one day. If you have some discussions with no response, send me a Personal Message and we'll take care of that problem.

I also would like to have that option in my discussions but thinking about it, it will compromise myLot's algorithm in computing our earnings and our earnings as well. Even an edit button does not exist! Have you heard anyone here in myLot saying his/her earnings decreased because some of his/her post got deleted (maybe because of not following myLot's rules)? I think that is one disadvantage of adding the delete button. Our earnings will be affected, thumbs down. Even if your discussions were lonely in the corner because no one is replying to it, just leave it there. Remember you already earned from it. If you delete it, don't you think you wasted your time and effort (and the possible earnings) from it? Just keep on posting.

Hi friend, Each and everyone here wish to delete their discussions which has earned 0 responses.We feel bad if we get 0 responses and 1 and 2 responses.There must be some reason for not giving such option,but the reason is unknown.Mylot wouldn't have failed to think or consider in giving this option,but there is some reason.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

nope, we cant delete or even edit our posts.. i wish we can delete discussions, especially the discussions that that does'nt have any responses.. the option is not yet available... and i do not know when the admin might want to add this option..

I guess they have their reasons for not allowing it. I think it is good because if we could delete something after we posted it, what would be stopping us from deleting other peoples postings too. Or what if mylot already paid us for the discussion and then we deleted it. Would they be able to take back the money? And what if the person isn't active anymore and they already received the money into their paypal, how would mylot make that money back? By paying us regular members less to make it up? If the discussion has had zero responses then maybe that should happen but you do still get paid for posting the discussion-my discussions don't get that many responses so I normally respond to my friends discussions...littleowl

ronaldinu I had thought about this but had only one discussion with no responses. the minute I wrote aboute that in a discussions i did get a few responses from that so decided to just keep cool and do better discussions instead.

No ronald, don't you think of deleting them. Don't worry about your posts with no response. You wouldn't know... one day it will get some responses from someone here. That happens to me. I had around 3 discussions that got no responses at first but I was surprised to receive responses after 2 months. So don't lose hope my dear.

if you want to delete discussions,you need to post thesame discussions and its automatic deleted thats what i did before.

i think that would be very nice to be able to do. i have a couple with no responses and 1 only 1 response. nerve racking.

I do hope that MyLot would have this kind of option so that it would not be so shame to see my discussion that has been posted without any responses at all......

I very much doubt it, I have got pages of discussions when I first came to Mylot with no responses, there they sit useless, I can't even award best response either, sadly we cannot delete our discussions, once we have posted response that's it! You can't even correct typos, no edit button, it has been asked before but not implemented so no discussions cannot be deleted by us.

I think they should though I doubt at this stage that they ever will. Since I signed up almost three years ago, I have seen several posts asking that myLot give members the option to delete posts but nothing was ever done. Maybe if enough people request the option, they will consider it.

I totally agree with you on this one. I would love nothing more than to be able to go back and delete my first few posts. It's weird, I think all people that are new to MyLot post the same few discussions when they first start. Everyone asks either, "How do we earn money", "Hows it work" or if any other particular site is good. The same things get asked on a daily basis....At least I know I asked and now I'd like to delete.

I have thought that once,as I created a discussion I made a spelling mistake and I was not able to delete the discussion.I hope we will soon get an option to delete our own discussions.Thank You
