Who would you save, your mother or your father?

You are standing next to your mother and father. Two snipers are about to shoot them at the same time. You are wearing a bullet proof vest. You have enough time to save one. Which parent would you save?

neither- i would tell them to just shoot me instead. there is no way that i could ever choose between my mother and father like that. i love them both dearly and they both deserve to live. i would definitely die for my parents if i had to.

No problem for me. It would be my mum every time. My dad is a bit of a loser, and doesn't have much contact with me or my children, so no big decision for me! If it were between two people I did love, for example, my two children, I think I would obviously try to save both, but if it were not possible, I think I would always try and save the younger one first. When I took my second baby home from the hospital, I thought about this a lot. It dominated my waking thoughts for a while, until I just had to admit that sometimes you can't save everyone, and the fact that the older child was slightly older, meant that she had a better chance than the younger one. Of course, nothing has happened to either child, but whereas protecting my first child was paramount before the birth of my second child, I needed time to realise that now the second child was needing me more than my other one.

I would also save my mum. I don't have kids, I'm a teen, but I'm sure it will be a hard choice between them too.

I couldn't choose. I would do what I could (throw them both down with myself in front, or tear of the bullet proof vest, give to one and throw myself in front of the other, etc) to save them both. It would be an impossible situation for me.

I would save my mother; I have two kids and I know what kind of pain she felt when she had me. My father only had pleasure.hehe.

My father, hands down -- and he's my step-father! Even though my father has dementia and doesn't even remember who I am, he was/is a great man. My mom, on the other hand, is one of the most negative, life-draining people I've ever known. So while my dad currently has nothing more to offer the world than a bright smile, it's still way more than my mom can give.

This may sound a bit could but i would not save ethier one. I know that is what they would want. They told me that they would never want to be apart. I know that they would be happy in the afterlife together.

Actually, I hate answering a question like this but I will. I guess it would be my mother because my fathers health is already very bad and he is showing signs of dementia worse than her. They are both over 75.
