A month ago I planted some lakatan bananas. There are three ways of getting the planting materials 1. suckers from a plant 2. tissue culture plantlets 3. corm of the plant. I chose to go with suckers because this was the least expensive and easiest to do. The man who sold me the suckers said I can expect fruit to come in seven months which should be sometime in April next year.

If you like bananas, you don't have to know about cultivation. You can still enjoy it. Cheers!!

Well done, Im so proud of people who are into agriculture. I dont know how to grow bananas, but I do know how to grow corn, watermelons, tomatoes, string beans, cucumber, eggplants and etc. I do this as a hobby. Well Japan have a very nice weather and at springtime I enjoy growing flowers like tulips and lilliums. I know how hard to grow plants but it pays it off once you harvest it, and my friends are really thankfull at my small garden.

Thank you for the response. Growing flowers is more difficult and growing vegetables is also very difficult. Congratulations on your hobby.
