Here it is already almost October which means that Christmas isn't that far off. Does anyone dislike Christmas? I'm a pretty bah humbug kind of person. How about Christmas shopping? I can't stand it. If it wasn't for the Internet and the help of my daughter, nobody would get anything. Too much commercialization and way too expensive as far as I'm concerned. I wish we could just go back to a simpler time when the holidays were about being with family and friends and less about who gets what and how much it cost. It's a sad, sad time we live in where everything revolves around money.

I don't dislike Christmas as a rule sanjo but it does make me laugh to see how we seem to start talking about Christmas earlier and earlier every year! It is only September and already the discussions have begun! The commercialization of Christmas is also a bit of a pain but then again pretty much everything goes down this path eventually. I have been in countries the last three years that don't even celebrate it! I am looking forward to being back home in the future so I can have a normal Christmas again.

Thanks for your comment, James72. It gets really gets to me when I see the retail stores start putting Christmas stuff out in August. Way, way too early. But then again, it's all about the money. But considering the economic state we're in here in the US, I would imagine the retailers are probably going to take a pretty big hit this season. But you never know. People tend to spend what they don't have, especially when they don't want to disappoint their children. I'm just glad my daughter is grown and knows what it's all about.
