I have tried staying awake for 24 hours because of a certain school project. It weird cause I didn't feel sleepy the entire night. Then I went to classes the next day feeling so energized.. but after the first class, I felt my head really really hurt, it felt as if it was going to explode! I couldn't think straight. I was so grumpy and I feel so sleepy and weak.
It was the worst day of my school days. Anyway, I don't want that to happen again. So, how bout you?

I have never managed to stay away for 24 hours. The closest I came was when I was 10 or 11. It was the day before the first day of school & I was so nervous, I couldn't fall asleep until very late that night & then I woke up very early. I only got about 4 hours of sleep but I wasn't tired or sleepy. I was awake for about 18 to 20 hours, I'm guessing; I don't remember exactly what time I fell asleep that night.
When I was around 14, I have thought about trying to stay awake for 24 hours, just for fun, but I never got around to actually trying it. I tend to get easily tired though, so I wouldn't try to deprive myself of sleep now. I don't think a school project would be enough to keep me awake for 24 hours. I think it'd have to be an extremely stressful emergency situation to keep me up.

I have had to do that before recently actually and it certainly wasn't by choice! I got stuck at JFK airport overnight because flights were being cancelled due to bad weather. It was horrendous actually and I had little or no sleep for over 30 hours! I may have coped well with this 20 years ago but these days it really drains me so I don't wish to have to try this again anytime soon!
