We came from the same province. While you are from Cebu, I am here just across Mactan channel, Lapu-lapu City. I know Cebu is famous but you can imagine people coming in to Cebu and other places in the province will always take their first step on the island of Lapu-lapu if they will be coming in through an airplane.

I am living in Shah Alam. Shah Alam is the capital city for the state of Selangor, which is one of the 13 states in Malaysia. Shah Alam is just like any other big cities is always full of activities, traffic and other things that any busy city would have.
If people asked for a tourist attraction in Shah Alam, I do not have that many things to bring them too. There is the biggest mosques in South East Asia and there is the state museum. There is a water theme park and a lake where you can go for boating. As I said, there is really nothing much to talk about Shah Alam.
I have been to Manila before and I am not so sure if Cebu is a big different from Manila. May be you can give me the comparison between the two and with that I can imagine what Cebu would look like. Cheers!

My partner and I moved from Melbourne, a city of over 3 million, to a little country town 2000 kms North with a population of 3 thousand. A huge difference, but we love it, very quiet, pretty little town, great weather. If we need city convenience, there is a town of 120,000 just 30 minutes away, and if we want to go cosmopolitan lol, a city of 2 million 90 mins away. The best of both worlds. And with relatively cheap airfares, our families are only 4 hours away by plane.

I live in the province too. I live in Negros Occidental which is very near Cebu. I visited Cebu once. My friend invited me over. I think she lives in Mandaue. I had a grand that time in Cebu. The Cebuanos are really charming so I guess you are too. Hehe. I love your dialect by the way. I made my Cebuano friends teach me how to speak. ;D

so you have been here..i have never been to negros..but i plan to visit nearby provinces soon.
i like my dialect too...sometimes it is perceived that when we speak we are angry but it is really not like that...our dialect is strong and hard especially to tagalog people.

Good day! I came from a city also but it is not as progressive compared to where I am living right now. My hometown, Iligan city is a small city, and it is populated by the lumad, the chrisitians and the maranaos living peacefully together. My city has 22 waterfalls, has hydroelectric power plants that supplies electricity to most of the areas of mindanao.
I am living right now in Manila and it is a very crowded and busy city. I have to chase the time, have to be fast even during breaks. It is a very stressful place. My favorite city is Makati because aside from the huge buildings, the area is clean, there are so many trees around, and they are good to look at especially after a strenuous work.
I also love Cebu even though I had been there once, I planned to go there and work soon.

The place where i live is classified as a city... but it doesn't feel like it... because there are no sky scarpers and the roads are not that big... but there are now a couple of malls... and more and more nice hotels are being built... thanks to the Airport at Clark...
I guess because of the kind of soil we have here... there is a certain limit for the height of buildings that can be built...
