Hi friends Do you use a calculator to perform basic mathematical calculations? For e.g, 11*24, 580/4, 548+557, etc. Thanks for responding.

it is a really bad habit to use calculators for basic math calculations. if you try to do it manually all the time,it will surely benefit you. in inevitable circumstances like in fast paced exams or tests you may use it but i normally avoid using calculators for such basic calculations. good day :)

Your question pertains to using calculator when computing "basic" mathematical calculations. Well I do not! I usually need calculators when computing iterations, problems with so many constants, statistics etc.

My basic calculation would mean 6x6, or 1000/2, or 25-20 or 2=2. Your example I can solve it with out a calculator, however to save time, I have to use calculator.

You are right friend. Calculator is a good way to save time even for basic calculations.

No I do not use a calculator to perform the basic calculations because these are not required to perform my day to day work. I think that it can influence on my overall responsibility on a given task. If you can calculate, you can measure then see, I am a weight liftr, what is my weight, I am a thinker, what is my sense. and if I am a teacher in the school what it will be......

DUDE! This is basic calculation. But anyway, unless you are a student, who requires to do these for his homework or anything, you should not turn to calculators. But in case you are someone working, who can't afford to waste time in calculation of even smaller thing, and also can't afford to make mistakes, calculator is certainly the way to go. As for me, i do not use calculators unless the numbers are very complicated. I in fact find it fun calculating stuff like exchange rates etc on my notepad or something.

I am actually a tertiary student friend. But I am just asking to survey out who uses calculators and under what situations. Thanks for the response friend.
