Does anyone really care?

I keep seeing news items about different celebs talking about why they're for or against a candidate.Does anyone really care what a celeb thinks about anything?I could care less about what Sean Penn eats or drinks, let alone what his political views are.And Lindsey Lohan? She probably doesn't even know what country she's in most of the time.Who would care who she would vote for?Why is this in newspapers or on TV?This is strictly National Inquirer garbage.

Usually, celebrity endorsements just annoy me but occasionally I do enjoy one. It has to be very clever and of course, it has to be for a candidate I support. For example, I really liked the Jack Nicholson "Joker" promo for Hillary Clinton.

I am with you on this one. I don't give 2 sh!ts what the celebs think about the candidates, or politics. The all live in their fantasy world. They are not in touch with the real world world and what it is like for the peons of this world. What they say or do does not influence me one way or the other. I don't follow the celebrity BS at any other time in my life. Why should I start now? I couldn't tell you who is screwing who, who's pregnant with who's kid, who is in rehab THIS week, or any other crap that most of the rest of the world cares about.

I'm with you. I really don't care who their voting for. Although it may make me look at a candidate twice to see if they are as nuts as that celebrity! I think they should stick to making movies, tv shows and albums.

I agree with you. IMO there are very few, if any, celebs who say or do anything without thinking of just how much publicity it will generate for them.

Much of what I've heard the celebs say has been pretty moronic. Like Matt Damon's statements where he showed he knew nothing about Sarah Palin. Lohan is a joke that no one in Hollywood seems to have gotten yet. I do however think there are celebs that are worth listening to. The ones with common sense. The ones that can see beyond their political beliefs.

I don't care what celebs have to say about their favorite candidate or anything else,i will make my decision about a candidate at the ballot box or just stay home...i don't need anyone to tell me who to vote for i think i can come to a pretty good decision about that for myself.Their so-called dirty linen sells papers i guess their dirty linen is special and no one else's is, it just hype to make money thats the business in hollywood.

I agree. I could care less which celebrity supports which candidate. The only plus side is that maybe more young people will come out and vote. Other than that, I think celebs hurt the candidates more than help.
