I would say, no problem - so long as he's not in the ICU or is there for breathing problems.

I learned that they don't allow flowers in ICU when the former roommate was in the ICU.

Hi Bombshell, There is no reason why you should give him a flower if he is poorly in hospital. I sure he would be very touched by i. I hope he is well on his way to recovery. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hey Bombshell just the fact that you are going to be there visiting and thinking of him will be enough so there is no need to spend money anyway, a hand picked bunch of flowers from a garden will mean just as much. Ellie :D

Hi bombshell I see no reason not to give your friend a single flower as long as you know he will appreciate it which he probably would cos each time he looks at it it will remind him that you care..littleowl

it depends on the reason why he is at the hospital. he might be allergic to pollen that can make him feel much worse if you give him flowers. give a guy gatorade or energy drink to get back his energy. from a guy like me i am not a flower person, i would make me feel better if i get a cake or energy drink. hope for the speedy recovery of your friend

Flowers are fine. But having been in the hospital a couple of times. There is really only so much you can do. If you friend is well enough to read, I would buy him a good book.

Of course it is okay to give him flowers or you can bring him some food though you have to check it first if he can eat it. Or you can buy him a book to read while in the hospital bed so that he wont get bore.

yes i think it is a good idea to give him flower. i am sure he will appreciate it and see that you are a good friends. i would surely give someone in hospital a gift maybe some flowers, clothes, get well soon teddy bear etc. every friend will appreciate this gesture.
