If you have a relevant, intelligent question maybe people will feel the need to answer.

hopefully I do pose questions that are intelligent enough for people to at least understand :) My major set back is my proof reading . I miss things that need to be reworded alot .

I believe it is the friend thing. This is because when you go to your homepage thing, you see your friend's discussions, so you are more likely to find them if they have been made some time ago. Also, some discussions are just better than others for people to reply to. Welcome to MyLot, by the way!

I would request other members to become my friends, then when you post a discussion they will mostly likely to respond to it. Also you should respond to lots of other members discussions so that they will ask you to become their friends. It takes a bit of time to build up a good friends list but it can be done. Of course some of your topics might not appeal to all of them but just persevere and keep posting. Best of luck.

There are many factors.
Make more friends.
Without friends, not many people will even see your discussions, and if they don't see it, how can they respond?
Make the subject somewhat interesting.
If it is not something that people have an interest in, why should they respond?
Give them something to respond to. Don't just make a statement, but give your opinion about something and ask others what they think, ask them to share their opinion or outlook on things.
I've got tips about this and more on my profile.

There are many different theories but the best way I am sure is to become a friend of another members ...example When i have a friend and they post a discussion i immediately go to the discussion and respond That is my number one priority A year ago when i was a member i had about 200 friends and about 80 had daily discussions posted and that took all my time but i knew i was not repeating a comment and i knew it was fresh and hopeful worthwhile Good Luck If you want vmksvmks to respond you need to be a friend so i get the updated posts Generally though to your question I donot think there is a way It is random and sort of a hit and miss Good Luck
