Okay, for my birthday, I'm going to Paris and this is the first time I've been to Paris. So, I'm not very familiar with the city. Do any of you have any suggestion as to what I should? What I should check out? Or completely avoid?

You should go to Versailles. Sister went there last July as part of her European Tour and that is one of her favorite places during that trip. Otherwise, kimberlylynn mentioned a lot of good places to go to.

Versailles certainly does look a very great place to visit. I hope to get a chance to do it. Thanks for the tip!

I recommend going with a tour company because driving in Paris is CRAZY! Just pick the things you really want to see. Most people at least want to see the big attractions like Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Notre Dame (although someone told me they don't allow visitors like they used to back when I went), Sacre Coeur (great views and the artists are fun to watch), The louvre (gotta see Mona and those crown jewels), Napoleon's Tomb kind of bored me (Les Invalides) but depends on what you are into, stroll down Champs Elysees (Arc de triomphe is here), take a boat trip down the Seine river (night is very cool and they serve yummy stinky cheeses), see "the thinker" statue, see Moulin Rouge - so much to do, have fun!!!
