As far as I can remember the only nursery rhyme I know was "Jack and Jill" bec.I was always left with the nanny.But when I had my first baby I bought cd and tapes of nursery songs.
My favorite was "twinkle.twinkle little star" and "old McDonald"..would you believe if I will have to play the cd I had to dance and make some actions sort of interpretative dance/action so that my baby would imitate me.All my kids are having fun everytime they hear those songs.
It was never too late to know all the nursery songs and it's really fun singing those songs esp. with your kids.sigh..those were the days...they are all big now.My eldest is 12,my 2nd is 10 and the youngest will turn 8 this year.
Do you have a fave nursery rhyme/songs?"three blind mice and itsy bitsy spider" and to make my baby fall asleep..I sing "rock-a-bye baby"

I like all the songs that you've mentioned.
I also like humpy dumpy, and all the songs of barney.

Hi sis. You're up early. LOL. The only nursery song that I remember singing to my kids was twinkle, twinkle little star. But whenever I have them to put to sleep I often sing to them "someone's waiting for you". Do you know that song? "be brave little one, make a wish for it's sad little tear......" I sing this song to them with feelings... LOL. Have a nice day sis.

My favorite was The Cat And The Fiddle. If you are unfamiliar with it, it goes like this:
Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
This is my youngest son's favorite too. He gets a big kick out of it whenever we read it together.
