I'm turning 30 in late october and i'm getting my pre-birthday anxiety of turning over the hill. Do things change after 30 or is it just another number but your getting older and older. Any suggestions of a 30th B-day blowout?

The big 3-0! I don't think you have it right. 30 is just 30. You're officially an adult, and you're wise, but not too wise. You've seen quite a bit, but not everything. Now, 40, that's a milestone. That's really something to scream about. I think that 40 is when you hit that midlife crisis, right? Maybe you should spend the next ten years preparing for it!

Thirty is ok, I think that is a perfect age of maturity, I think you should just sit back and enjoy it, you will have plenty of other birthdays that you will worry about or you can be just thankful you made it that far...Happy Birthday to you...

Hi there dookie03! I will be turning 30 in October just like you. I am not really excited about it because I will be getting older. I do not feel anything unusual about my birthday this year. I may not really feel comfortable getting a year older but I know that age is just but a number. What matters is what you really do for yourself and for other people as well. Birthday blowout? Well, why not try going out of town with some friends?

You don't need to get anxious. :) It's just a number. And as they say, getting older is better. I turned 30 last April and still am the same person back when I was 25,lol!:) it's just that a lot has been pressuring me to get married which I think hasn't settled down on me, lol!:)

I think birthday numbers affect different people in different ways. I have never had a problem with my "number" where birthdays are concerned. But many of my friends and family have trouble with 30 and then the 5s and 0 ending numbers. Truth be told. I don't and haven't felt any difference. I LOVED turning 30!! To me that was a FINALLY people would see me as an adult (I had always looked much younger than I was and everyone always thought I was so young). I felt that I finally came into my own life! Do what is fun for you! I had many friends over and we talked and partied. It was a great night! Happy Birthday early and ENJOY!!!

Physically 30th is still young and strong but don't forget to prepare for the next ten year.. Spiritually you must see inside yourself and seek for the truth in all things you do... My suggestions for your coming 30th B-day, invite poor people to your party and see how lucky you are! happy b-day to you..

Aww! Don't be nervous if you can help it. Take it from a woman more than twice your age -- older is much, much better. All those youthful anxieties go away, and it's a joy to be alive. Honest. I'm not kidding. You'll see.

when i turned 30 last year, i was anxious. it was weird not being 20 something anymore. but then i thought about my life and where i was when i turned 30. i have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter and i met a lot of friends who are older than me lol! so it's really no big deal. like a fellow mylotter here, i'm also suggesting that you lose it. party to your heart's content.
