I saw the 2002 movie before I actually read the play. What is going between the characters is somewhat odd, but Oscar Wilde added humor in it and made the entire situation hilarious, or funny, to say the least. It is very comical. It is entertaining to read and/or watch the events unfold. What do you think? Have you seen the movies? Or read the play?

I did not see the 2002 movie. We did this play in high school over 30 years ago. I had the part of the maid. Thinking back on it I can't really remember how the plat played out, except that two men were trading places. My kids read the play in their English class a few years ago. Some things never grow old.

I read this book when I was at school and found it very funny. When it came to the cinema I dragged my eldest daughter and hubby to the cinema to watch it. What a very good film it was, well so I thought, I don't think my hubby and daughter saw it in the same light as me. Our daughter was embrassed as we took a flask of tea to drink while we were watching the film!!
