A friend of mine just returned from Dept. of Defense bio/medical research review sessions, he said so much could be discovered and so many patients helped with stem cell research... what do you think?

Stem cell technology may prove many more medical inventions.Dr.Evan Snyder, MD, Ph.D Harvard Medical school specialized in new born babies, he explains about embryonic stem cells” When sperm fertilizes egg which is the beginning of the organism this fertilized egg starts to divide into 2 cells and 4 cells and later it develops into a ball of cells, Some how these cell which look identical will give rise to many different kind of very diversified parts of the body, these cells are very flexible, we call these cells has stem cells, these cells have many possibilities it may go to brain to become brain cell or go to the spinal cord to become spinal cord cell or it needs to go to the heart to become a heart cell or go to the liver to become liver cells”. Below is video abt stem cells hope it helpful to u http://bioisolutions.blogspot.com/2008/08/stem-cells-seeds-of-hope.html

I watched a documentary about stem cells, some years ago and I found it fascinating, from what I understood from this program, stem cells are a template to everything in our bodies, heart, lungs etc so with a persons DNA they can be grown a new heart obviously that's a very simplistic explanation but from what I came to learn if stem cells are used in this way then it must be a good thing.
