Could you change your image?

September 22, 2008 I mean really change the way people recognize you. Change your hair color, cut, style. Drop some pounds, put some on. Change your clothes, attitude, and mannerisms. I think it would be hard, because your personality is really what makes you who you are.

Scorpio: Attributes Likes activity, mysteries, secrets, winning, being acknowledged, strategy. Dislikes being analyzed, being asked personal questions, people who think they know more than Scorpios do, too many compliments, having to trust a stranger. Suitable occupations Anything involving deep analysis, investigation, research or the solving of mysteries, such as detective, scientist, researcher, market analyst, Medicine professions such as pathologist or surgeon, member of the armed service or police, a politician, a lawyer, business owner, psychologist Hmm, sounds like you've got some choices.

I think people can try to hange their image, but even with the physical stuff it's usually only temporary. Your old self usually seeps back through.

no i dont think chaging things like hair colour , or loosing weight or gaining weight, changing clothes, makes a person change thier image to the extent that one cant recognise you.as recently i had experienced this i was approached by a junior of mine a few days while i was traveling in public transport. she saw me and than she asked me r u from so n so school i was like yeh than she was like even i am from the same school and i was like which bacth she told me 2 years later to my bacth and i was like ok. i have changed evrything right from colour and many more materialistic things which one things can change the outer appearances but nothing happens..

Hi there! I can change my physical appearance. I often do that sometimes especially with my hair. Every year I try a different haircut. New looks you know hehe. But even though I have a new look every year it doesn't change who I am inside. Who I am and how I deal with people is still the same. I don't think also changing one's physical appearance can really change the whole personality of a person. It's what's inside thats important and no matter how you change your look, the real you will come out once you deal with people. Ciao!

I think it would be fun to try, and something different. It would also be fun to see what other people thought about it. It is like pretending to be someone else.

It wouldn't be mistaken identity, you would actually want to be that way.

I have on occasion, but it is more work for me that it would be for some people. Sometimes I have gone to conferences one day dressed down and using technical vocabulary to ask vendors about their products and prices and then the next day playing it dumber with business attire and you would not believe how different the responses were...and the pricing! Some women I used to know were real makeup artists and could change their appearances so dramatically in a half hour that I could hardly believe it was the same person. For me that would not be fun...too much like work.

Hi gitfiddleplayer, I agree with you, it is your personality that really defines who you are. If you were to lose or put on a lot of weight, change your hair colour etc, it might be difficult for friends to recognize you, but you would be the same person.

I think overall it would be very easy to change our image if we put our mind to doing it - like you say losing weight is something that can make a huge difference but you will still be the same inside! : )

well obviously you can also change that. my daughter has started going through menopause. shes lost weight drasticly. shes changed her dress, hair, attitude, personality and now wants to get rid of her hubby. so, yes a person can change everything if they want.

I think most people could change their image on a temporary basis. But they can't change their personality for an extended period of time. It could be a challeng or even fun for a short time period but then it would be a job and become more tiring. Eventually the real you would surface and that would be your comfort zone. It would become easier to stay in that zone then. This topic made me think too much! LOL

Why would you want to? What is the point of it? I really don't see why you would want to change your appearance just to please or catch the attention of people around you. It is pointless and people should not worry so much about their appearance especially if they are only doing so to please their peers.

Actually lot of people just using new image to hide what they have, but in same time people will know who they are, in this time fashion is more papular than work hard for the family.

As soon as I read this post it made me think of some offenders who have been in prison for heinous crimes and then come out and have to completely change their image to remain anonymous, and the lengths that they go to to change their appearance.I am sure that the most of us could have our hairstyle changed,a colour change, cut and blow dried in a different style, change the way we dress and the way we appply our make up,the shoes that we wear and though the outer person would be different the inner person would remain the same, though dramatic weightloss can often spark a big change in a persons personality,an introvert can be suddenly become quite extrovert.

People can change their outter image rather easily. But the inside is something that they are born with I think. I am currently working on changing my outter image. Its not something I'm proud of, but I am a heavy person. Thanks to health issues I've gained alot of weight. The other day as I sat waiting for my guy to get his hair cut I glanced at myself in the mirror. All around were women with average figures and cute haircuts and there I sat - fat and with my hair tied back in a pony tail. I just felt, well frumpy. LOL So, I've decided to work on that. I bought some hair color, I'm getting my hair done, and I've gone on a healthful eating kick. So far I've lost 6 lbs! Now the inside of me I'm fairly happy with. I wish I could be more outgoing and energetic, but some of that I just can't change. But basically, I know I'm a good person and I'm fine with the inside me.
