why does superman wear his brief on the outside of his suit?

I am a Filipino and it's a common joke around here that Superman wore his suit before wearing his underwear. Just for fun, why do you think he wore his underwear over his suit? for me, i think Superman got all mixed up in that telephone booth and since he always hurries to save the day, he didn't notice that he was wearing his clothes the wrong way. :) HAPPY MYLOTTING!

His blue spandex suit is one piece with a small opening around the butt so to make it more appealing and willnot be mistaken for a pajama or something, he tried on red briefs.

ahahaha...i think the suit ddnt really have tights with it but you know its a movie and kids watch it to so they put tights or leggings in it so it will be wholesome. The movie is general patronage and i dont think some mother wud let their kids see superman fly with just a brief and bare legs
