Hi everyone!
Have you ever experienced having a hard time putting into writing or trying to create a topic all the ideas or thoughts that you want to share? You have so many good ideas and you are so in the mood and yet, you can't find the perfect words to use.
I am experiencing it right now and its kinda frustrating and sad. There are so many good discussions from my friends and I know I have good answers on all of them but it seems I just can't put into words every thought I have. I am having a hard time trying to create a simple sentence. I am not feeling bored or lazy but this is really confusing for me.
Why do you think I am experiencing this? Any suggestions on what I should do to get things going? Have you experienced this too and what did you do?

It happens. I just take a rest first, and the next time I open mylot, I can put them into words. Today, I just responded to a lot of discussions and have posted one discussion hours ago. Maybe I can have 2 or 3 discussions. Have a nice day sharie.

I understand what you are into right now because I had been to that situation and still in that situation :)
It is really hard to write what is in your mind if you cannot find the right words to say, you will end up having many scratch papers on your table or on the floor.
Writers are like that, they need to have something that will motivate them or force them to write, and that situation is very rare.
If I have the urge to write, I need to get the pen and paper fast because they vanish rapidly just like last night, an idea came into my mind, I was able to write some but I lost my concentration and will to continue what I am doing.
I had always loved to write, I already had many poems, and I usually am able to write during the peak of my eagerness, and it happens during 11 pm- 1 am.
You should try to examine or find out for yourself the time on when you are most active to write and you will see how easy it is to hold the pen or type the keyboard.
Try to write also when you are so sad or too happy, great ideas will just popped out from your head whenever those two emotions are present. Take it from me, hehehe..
Happy myloting!

Hi! Every time I log in on mylot I am in the mood to write. It is just now that I am feeling this way. I have been logging in and out cause I can't seem to make a quality response. Believe it or not I have been here for more than 3 hours and I was only able to make 2 responses. This is frustrating for me. I have so much in my mind but it seems I can't express it. Maybe I have to find some kind of motivation for now like what you said.
Thanks for the tips though!

Yes, I have experienced such circumstances. However, the problem here is that you have so many ideas in your mind. What you have to do is pick one and forget others for a moment. Write on the one you picked and then pick another and so on.
This will work for you!

I am also experiencing that kind of problem. I think the reason why I experience this is because the English language is not my primary language. I'm not good in speaking and writing English sentences. I think this is not your problem because I read your discussion and I can see that you are good in writing. One possible reason why you can't write is maybe you are tired or stressed out. If this is the reason, I suggest you relax first. And when you feel refreshed, I assure you that you won't have a problem writing again

Hi! Oh thank you very much for the compliment fellow lotter. English is not my native language too but being here in mylot helped me a lot to improve it. And I think you're right. Maybe I am stressed. I have not been sleeping very well cause there's a lot going on in the house. We had an overnight birthday party for my father last Saturday and I'm still trying to catch up on my regular resting time. Right now, I'm doing fine. Had a good night sleep last night. I guess I'm starting to have my old self back again hehe
Thanks for the response!

Hi there iskayz!
This happens to me quite very frequently. Ideas invade my head like raging waters but I rarely put them into writing. Sometimes I have a difficult time organizing my thoughts. Perhaps because I have other things in mind that get into the way. Or, maybe because while online, I do multitasking. When I really would like to work on all those ideas in mind, what I do is to focus on just one and come up with a very good discussion on it. So far, it works well for me.

Hi dolce! I think you're right. I should really focus on just one thing at a time. With so many ideas in my mind I get confused which one to start first. Last night I have only posted this discussion and hopefully I will get to respond more for this day and make my mind work hehe
Ciao!

I have problems with making discussions. Then when I do, I have hardly more than 10 responses.
I have no problem responding to other discussions though. However, I do have problems finding the ones that I would like to respond to.
Maybe if you carried a little notebook with you, you can jot down some discussion ideas in it when an idea pops into your head. Me, nothing jars my brain.

I have been writing down notes actually. i have been doing that since I joined mylot but last it seems that my mind is so blank that I can't find the right words to use to make a discussion or respond to a discussion. I guess my mind was just tired.
I had rested last night. I didn't forced myself to respond more. The effect is that my responses aren't that good. Its like I just want to respond to earn so I decided to just stop and rest. I'm hoping today I will get my old self back.
Ciao!

May be you are too excited to pendown and u have lots to write but then you are not too sure on where to start.Do one things take a paper and a pen list decide on te topic u want to write and may be first you can start them writing in points and after that you can start of with simple sentences.I am sure once if u ave the points you can easily start writing.Good Lck.

Hmm.. I never really thought of the excitement I am feeling but I agree with you that maybe excitement is one factor why I can't write, start a post or even make simple respond last night. I wasn't able to log in the other night and so I am so eager to make a post the next day. I didn't even earned anything from my being absent here last Saturday and so I want to make it up for myself. Maybe I was cramming to make a post but unaware of it.
Thanks! Somehow its becoming clear to me.

What about trying to focus on one idea at a time? Just with pencil in hand allow yourself to write freely and you will may be surprised what you can write when you take the pressure off your self to accomplish so much. I suggest you relax and let it happen naturally. You can always go back and add to it.

I think that you need to sit down and just get a notebook and pencil and write until you cant write anymore. I know that it may sound tedious but every nght befor I go to bed I get my notebook and just write until i feel like all the thoughts the stress or anybody elses problems are clear from my brain. It really helps out alot. You dont have to worry about spelling or punctuation just write until you cant write anymore it will truely help you get your thoughts together good luck!

It's horrible when I lay down to go to sleep at night I have all these great ideas and I even know the perfect way to say it but when I wake up in the morning although I still remember the gist of my idea , I have no idea how I should word it . If I could tape what I was thinking when I was laying down to go to sleep at night I would be a whole lot smarter lol .

That happens to me as well. Sometimes I have so much I want to write yet when I see the blank paper in front of me I get a brain "freeze". Usually I have a scrap notebook where I just jot down ideas, or feelings so I don't forget them. Sometimes I'll go back to that book and hone in on one idea and start writing from there. Sometimes I don't ever use the thought. It helps clear my mind to sort of "transfer" the idea to a notebook for later use. This way, when I go back, I can sorta pick up where I left the idea off and continue writing. Good Luck!

u are right , it happens some times.
so far as my opinion is concerned i think it happens when
your ideas are scattered, or lot of things to say but no concentration
on a single one.
try to do the things 1 by 1, it takes time but it solves the problem also.
