Friends, I would like to share some thoughts about a recent bomb blasts which took place in New Delhi. While investigating and searching for the perpetrators of crime, one officer of the Police Force who was just 41 years old sacrificed his life in the service of nation. He could unearth the plot behind bomb blasts and he helped catch two culprits but not before he was gunned down by them. His son severely ill and was in the hospital, when he carried out the operation. He promised his son to come back within few hours but to his misfortune he could not come to the hospital. He himself was hospitalised and died after 6-7 hours. Everybody was upset with his death. Few lines I have penned in his memory, which I would like to share with my dear friends here
I lay in the hospital that day
Waiting for my Papa
He came in the morning to say hello
And gave me lots of kisses
He said he will be back again
I'm waiting for him to come this way
BUT
His life has been taken by terrorists I am told
Everyone is crying, their tears they cannot hold
With tears in our eyes we have bid him farewell
OH MY PAPA I AM PROUD OF YOU
and this is for the son
Oh dear son, we are proud of your father too
We would want our sons to be like him one day
We need more brave officers like him around
Who will get rid of terrorism one day
These few lines for all the Police Officers
All you policemen we are proud of you
Even when you are tired and weary
And have no more energy
If the country cries our for help
You always find the strengh to help

The lines you have written are very moving and touching. I hope his son would have felt the same thoughts about him as you have described in your peom. It is a real pity that some sectin of people do not acknowledge this kind of supreme sacrifice by a Police officer and always critise the police force.

I wish I could convey my feelings to his son.
I too would criticize the police often till one day when I needed their help there were two officers who were with me for 18 hours continuously without any break or without even having any meals. And all the while they made sure my prepaid mobile was regularly recharged because I was making a lot of calls....at a time when we say that they do not do anything without being bribed.....they are a lot of good souls around....we have only to find them

Oh! it is so sad that most of the TV channel were showing the same new on that particular day . So sad that poor child how he was there in the crowd and I could not see the news bcoz the sorrow of the family members cnnot be described. Their life they have given to protect our country aand we cant do anything. we just see all the incidents and occurance on TV. His son should be proud that his dad had given his life for the country. Happy posting and have a nice day. May God bless everybody.

I could say the older days of many missed lives in our place are being repeated because of terrorism and basically with the wide opening opportunities and infation i think the country will face more strange issues on roberry , thefts and even more illegal actitvities to flourish..here the people has to be self safe..but my heartfelt regret for the son who missed his DAD...JAIHIND
