Hi friend, im wondering what kind of soap you prefer to use in your body. we use a bar soap in our family. we like the one that has an extra moisturizer so that it helps our dry skin feel better. There are just so many choices to choose and they have this liquid soap which is kind of good idea for sanitation purposes but i don't know the difference. What do you think?

I am using olay quench moisturizer soap. It smells very good and makes your skin very soft and hydrated. Sometimes I used body wash too. I just bought Bubble bath last Saturday at Bath and Body Works. Bar is more cheaper than body wash or liquid soap you were saying when it comes to cost. With the convenience or using water, bar is more advantage than liquid soap.
Both bar and liquid soaps have their own strengths. Liquid soap is tidy and more sanitary than bar soap. By all means, it in more public area of your home, like bathroom sink.
Some people says moisturizers in liquid soap leave a residue that requires extra rinse time to remove. Maybe they're using too much. With bar soap, it's pretty easy to tell when you've got enough suds, while a liquid dispenser involve more guesswork. That's why three 4-ounce bar will outlast a 12-ounce container of liquid

For my face i prefer to use bar soap, Dove, preferably but for my body i use body wash or liquid body soap also DOVE. It lathers more, gently cleanses and nourishes better than bar soap as far as i am concerned and it really smoothens the skin since you use it with a sponge or body scrub. While cleansing you are also exfoliating your skin. With soap, while it cleanses, there is no exfoliation.

We all use liquid soap in my house. In fact, we all have our own because we all like different scents. I prefer liquid soap because it seems more sanitary to me. I guess because you pour it out of a bottle and don't share all those germs that are bound to be on bar soap. We basically keep bar soap as an air freshener in the bathroom. If you unwrap it and put it in a basket lined with cloth of some sort, it's very pretty and the scent keeps the bathroom smelling fresh.

Before, I always prefer the bar soap since it is cheaper than the liquid soap but nowadays when I am constantly out of town, I prefer liquid soap because it is in a bottle and is not messy when I keep it in my luggage. Also, liquid soap, from what I've noticed has more moisturizer than a bar soap and gives me a silky feeling after taking a bath.

I am the only one that uses bar soap in my family. My husband and children are use liquid soap. You need a pouffe for liquid soap or it will be over very soon. Moreover we find liquid soap can be used by everybody... you only need different pouffes. Hand wash is the soap that is used for sanitation purposes.

liquid body soap would be my preffered choice. bar soaps would be used by many people, and all the scum would build up on the top layer. also, pieces of soap always stick everywhere which is a bit digusting. I personally think liquid soap is more practical than the bar alternative. so maybe u should try switching for a week or so?

Definitely liquid, the bars harbour bacteria. I personally just use shampoo as I have found it to be gentler on my skin. Sometimes I make my own of coconut cream and honey, throw in some some oatmeal for exfoliation. It wonderfully hydrates and leaves you smelling and feeling great. You can find great recipes at www.Care2.com for making your own soap. At least you know what is going in your skin as porous as it is.

Yes i agree with you hushburn,
The amount you use it the liquid soap connot be determine for you have your own control.i have bought a nice liquid soap and it only lasted for a week use which is not very economical for me. So i go back again to my favorite bar soap. thanks for responding.

i use liquid soaps only to wash my hands and when bathing, my choice would always be a bar soap
and that too i use only Dove moisturising bar which is quite creamy in itself. ther are no
specific reasons in not using liquid soap, there are many merits in them too, the main one being
taken out whenever needed in appropriate quantity, but anyways, i like only a bar which i can
feel rubbing my body and removing the dirt

Hi Margarit, I prefer using bath gel or shower cream. These also have (or claimed to have) moisturiser for dry skins, to keep skin softer, so forth. The reason I like bath gel or cream, is that it doesn't leave a dry feeling on my skin.
My hubby however prefers soaps - he finds it more manly ; bath gels are too feminine for him!

Bar and liquid soap are all effective, The choice is yours, if you are in budget i suggest you go for bar soap for it is much cheaper the liquid soap and it can last longer. But if money is not a problem for you, go for liquid soap for it has more fregrance and makes your skin smoother. Thanks for sharing.

We like to use the bath, and we tend to use bar soap in the bath,as well as some foam or creme bath too.Using the bar soap is good ,as you feel very clean and fresh after it,I like a soap with a good lather to it,and also a soap that has moisturisers too, something that helps dry skin. But downstaors in the kitchen we have a liquid soap, its far easier,as you dont have a grubby looking soap bar stuck around the sink where you are preparing meals etc,its much more hygenic.an anti bacterial soap is better for the kitchen in our experience.

Truthfully i use bar soap all the time. In fact i have since i was a kid. But my wife is a nurse so she brings home all these freebies she gets and we use alot of those pump soaps for the bathrooms to wash our hands and stuff. I like the pump soap for washing your hands anyway it's just easier.
