Do you still go to the library ?

Hi Moneyman, I have not been to the library for umpteen years. Ever since we have access to the internet, and information is so easily and freely available, there is really no need to visit the libraries. Even if I were to look for books, I would rather go to the bookstores - our libraries are simply hopeless!

I had not gone to library for a long long time,as you said i can find anyting from net,but library is a good place for reading,up to now i have left school for two years and library is far away from me,finding something in libary is really a good time.

Yes I still go to the library and the kids enjoy going to pick out books for themselves so that mommy can read to them :) The internet is a great place to find anything and everything but somethings are still better the way they were before and this would be one of them . When I want a good book to read I would rather be able to lay down and relax and read rather then read off the internet and although I could print off a book of the internet , it still is not the same thing . If I need information , I do use the computer rather then go to the library as it is much easier to do it at home then to go do the same thing some place else .

I never did go to the library much but a friend took me one day and I loved it there. They even had movies you could take out and you didn't have to rent them. I go when I get a chance to go now and i like taking out books from the library and if you want a book and they don't have it they will even order it in for you which i think it great.

Nope, the only time I ever go to the library now is to get some peace and quiet and study. I do all of my research online becasue it's quicker and easier and if ther's a book i want to read I ususally just buy it becasue i like to be able to read it on my own time frame and not on the library's

Yup when I get a chance I do go to get books. I like to have something to read when there is nothing else to do around the house and I don't haves to work and there is nothing on tv.

I still go to the library for books so that my kids have all different kinds of books that they can look at. Also because they have a story time there a couple of time during the week.

Yes, I still go to the library - and you asked this question three years ago! I mainly go to the library for activities that they have for my children, to print if I can't do so at home, and to rent dvds for free.

i go to the library quite often & check out books. i'm very fond of reading & have been all my life. we have a very nice library here.

I still go to the library a lot because i am a college student. I find a lot of other books that aren't at my school library that have a lot of useful information when i end up writing a term paper or something. Plus i don't have a printer that works right now so i end up going to the library to make copies of stuff. The libraries are one of the best places for information ever i hope they stay open forever.

when i was in school i used to go to the library every day.. but now as you said we can find anythin online.. so i've lost the habbit of going to library,,,.. i read most of the books in pdf on computer...

Of course I still go to the library, I work there. haha. A lot of people come in too. Yes, now a days, you can find any thing you want online, but not everyone has computers or want to be that technologically advanced yet. I love getting stuff from the library, even though I'm not that big of a reader, because I can pretty much get whatever new movie or CD I want. The library has also opened up my world of music and allowed me to try some new things out. And the best part about all this, is that its free.
