If you're given a chance to be rich today would you be happy?

I would say an absolute yes! They say that money cannot buy you happiness and maybe there is some truth to this but, money can definitely contribute to your having a better life! There are so many things you can do and the insecurity of having to pay bills is also taken away from you. I would certainly like to get to sleep each night knowing that I had no more money worries ever again! Andrew

I think rich people also have their worries. Such as they are worried whether it's safe because they are so rich. It'll have a possibility to be kidnapped. And they are afraid to be cheated because others seem to grab their wealth. But if you are rich, life can be also easier since you don't have to wake up early and work all the time and go home late. At least you can do whatever you like. According to it, I still prefer to be rich. I love China

i don't think i would be happy if i were "rich" in monetary terms... but...if i were comfortably well off - i would be very happy - i would be ablr to spend more time with the friends and family who are proximally close to me - and i would be able to travel to see those i am close to, but who live far away i would own my own home, so that i would worry less about how long i will be at one address - i would have time to garden and cook more i don't think that 'rich' is such a literal term to me - with more of what i need to get by, and a secure future, i would be very rich indeed

Ronacruz, Money can't buy you love or happiness. Many people "with money" spend their lifes always looking over their shoulders in fear that someone will want or take what they have. To me, having peace of mind and being able to relax and enjoy your life is worth more than any material wealth we can ever accumulate.

I wonder who on this earth will not like to be rich and feel happy about it. But the question is how many among us believe that the financial richness will solve all our problem and it will make all of us happy and bring prosperity? I would like to earn more and more than what i am earning so that i can have a luxurious life and can fulfill all my dreams but who assures me that even if i earn 100 times more than what i have, i will be the happiest person in the world? I think a rich person is one who is happy and contended with what they have and have mental and inner peace to lead their life and if i am given a chance i would like to become rich in peace and prosperity because i know if i am happy and have peace of mind i can WIN and RULE the world.... It's not realistic because of the way we live our lives. But i think i would be totally happy for a shout time being because right now all my struggles are with not having enough money. I have a 11 month old son and i've come into realization i can't spend money on anything i want to anymore because of how much having a kid costs. So to answer the question yea i'd be totally happy with some free money right not, especially alot of money.

If I won the lottery, by life would be slightly easier. I would be able to pay off my debts, I would be able to put money into a trust fund, and I would be able to start a cat rescue. I would donate some of my money to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), I would donate some money to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, and I would donate some money to the March of Dimes. I would be pretty happy because I am making other people happy.

Hi if i have a chance to become rich today i wont take because it wont give happiness because its not or hard earning.The things which i bought by that will give artificial happiness and i wont feel self happiness.

Yes, I will be happy if I get a chance to become rich today or any day. Rich in the sense, I want to earn more than what I am earning now, probably much much more. Greedy? but only a dream? Anyway I will be happy as it will give me some kind of financial security. Now what I am getting is through my job, on which me and my family members are depending. If I get a chance to be self reliant on my own money that will be the great thing for me. Becoming rich is not a bad thing! I suppose, and dreaming for it is ofcourse not. Why not then try for it. If I were rich today, yes I'd be happy. You see I was rich once. But, that money came with a catch - an abusive husband. So I finally divorced him and basically gave up the rich life. Now I'm poor, yup actually poor. I can barely keep my bills paid and live in a run down place. But I escaped. However now that he is out of the picture if I could be rich today I'd be happy. Because I'd no longer have to worry about keeping the bills paid. And, I could move back to my hometown and be close to my family. I'm wanting to move now - and can't afford to do so. So I'm stuck in a state with no family or friends. Anyone have some extra money they can spare? LOL

I am happy right now but if I will be given a chance to be rich then I can say I will be worry free. I am always worried with my mother and her finances and my siblings too, so if I am rich right now I will just share it to them.

I think if I was given the chance to be rich I would be happy. I would not keep all of the money myself though, I do a lot of charity work, and I would like to be able to give a lot more money to the charities that I work with, so coming into any amount of money would be good for me! Obviously if I was rich it means that I possibly wouldnt have to work, but all that this would mean to me is that I would have more time to work with the charities which I only have a couple of hours a week to do at the moment!

I would definitely be happy if i was rich today lool. Who wouldnt be? A pereson that wouldnt be must be a very depressed person i guess. If i were rich i would have used all my money to buy a house and a car and just relaxx the rest of my days.

I agree with you ronacruz2007 and my answer is NO, because as you riches will make someone to be happy for buy everything he/she needs and he/she could not go out alone(robbery and kidnapping).Although, we need money in our lives but money is not everything to us. For example, we cannot buy a friend who is honest and honor to us or you cannot buy a lover who is very very love you with a real heart. Riches can brings positive ways to us but it also brings many negative ways to us too. Riches will make someone be overweening, be not very friendly, and look down to those who are poorer than him/her.If the person who is kindly, he/she will donate half of his/her wealth to people who are in needs or to orphanage. If i got the chance to choose, i will choose not to be very rich and not to be very poor means at the medium class. At medium class is safer than the riches. If you got the chance to be rich, i would like to tell you that don't easily say Yes. In my comment, you can see that negative ways is more than positive ways, so that you have to think twice before making decision.

everyone has his own trouble no matter what you are rich or poor. If you were rich, you would definitely have other troubls such as how to keep rich or how to spend the money. When you are rich, you maybe have a lot of work to do and you don't have the time to spend with the families. so if i have give a chance to be rich today i would be happy for a moment but never forever.

I would be happy if I had be given a chance to be rich today because there are lots of things that I wanna do with my life. I am not working so being rich will help me sustain being jobless and I could help my family a lot! I can save some for the future and at the same time, I want to out of town and have fun because I had been stressed a lot lately. I would be happy to help my relatives, I would be happy to help those beggars I see on the streets. I do not wear expensive jewelries nor wear branded clothes so it wont be that obvious if I got a lot of money then. I will he happy if I will be rich even for a day YES!

all things remaining constant (my happy family, our good health, my good relationship with others,etc.) i will be very happy if i will be rich today. that means i can buy the things i need, that means i can help my nephews have a better education by sending them to a good school, that means i can give extra capital to my parent's business, and that means i can finally give my husband his much-coveted european tour.

of course i'll be happy. i'll even share the fortune i have with my family and the less fortunate. i'll be able to donate to the church and charities. i will not think of the negative side but the positive side because if i became rich then that's God's plan meaning I can pray to him to protect me always.

Apparently yes as long as all my love in life is still there and nothing change. I would only be rich but their not gonna fade away.. If this will come true, i will help the less fortunate....

What makes a person happy is not the money on his/her pocket but the contentment in life, for she/he have.
