I Share My Most Intimate Moments With God

You have found a great way to be in peace with God. I don't go to temple regularly but I do my japa every day after I take bath. I used to spend an hour in prayer before but nowadays with my 2 year old around, it is tough to take time for prayer. 20 mins is the maximum I can spend these days. I will have to learn a lot from you. Thanks for your inspiring discussions.

My family and I get in touch with God many times throughout the day. Our first prayers are said when the kids go off to school. We all sit down and pray together before they go. Then, I usually come home and pray with my 2 year old about how our day will be. We pray before every meal and then before the kids go to bed at night. If I am having a bad night with pain, my fiance will pray over me at night for God to take away the pain.

Wow, I wish I could get in the habit of doing that every morning. What a great way to start your day. I have my Lord and Savior inside me, so I get to carry Him wherever I go. That way I can talk to Him or pray whenever I want. But I believe meditation and making time for worship from our busy lives is a very good thing too.

It really good to know about your relationship with God. I like to read how each and every individual have a unique relationship with God. I stay in a country where there is no temple nearby. I have to travel more than 100 km to reach the nearest temple and that is Krishna temple of ISKCON. But I have a unique relationship with God. Whenever I need some answer to my spiritual questions God provides me instantly through one way or another. I worship God at home. I have huge huge resources of books and spiritual lectures which help me. Just because I do not have the priviledge of visiting temple and association with the devotees, God helps in all other ways possible. I try to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra daily and offer my prayers to God, offer him food and also fast twice a month on his days. I am away from India for almost 8 years but I celebrate all the festivals at my home with my family. Shivji is very kind. Thats why he is called Bholenath. I am Krishna bhakt and my guru is Saibaba of Shirdi. But I worship Shivji also since he is the biggest devotee of Vishnu. In order to get the mercy of Vishnu(Krishna), its very important to get the mercy of Lord Shiva. Life without spirituality is meaningless. The only true relationship is that what we share with God. Continue on the path you have accepted. You will achieve unlimited peace and success.

It's good that you have a good relationship with God. Is is important for every living being to connect with the Almightly. Only then is our life complete. Anand
