Hi friends, I wanted to get a new computer, assembled one. And I wanted your opinion, on which Processor to go for, either Intel or AMD. I heard AMD is good for games and is faster plus cheaper, but the drawback is that it gets heated really quick which is not a good thing. What do you guys suggest?

Good day.... I think you should go with your budget and efficiency. I'll go for AMD and just buy me a better heat sink fan. AMD is relatively cheaper and faster than cheaper forms of intel which is the celeron.

money is not the problem. I just want the best! I want a min of 4GB ram. Because I want to make a nice gaming station plus use it to run my business, making high end graphics.

If money are not an issue I advise you to go with INTEL.WIth a good motherboard you can overclock the cpu with ease not to mention it will go really nice with a X48 MoBo.

I am going to keep this short and sweet. Since AMD entered the CPU Chip market, I have been nothing short of ecstatic and pleasantly surprised at its performance. I have found that for game playing and for all the work that I do on my desktop as well as my laptop, AMD has been strong, not quirky, and extremely reliable. Too many times have I had to fix problems with my Intel run systems I had in the past. I always recommend the AMD and this comes from someone who once had his own computer business and would continue to do so.

If it were a couple years ago I'd tell you to go AMD, but right now Intel tends to be the better deal as far as bang for the buck. You might be able to save a few dollars on an AMD, but get way better performance from the Intel. I personally would go with Intel because if you're going to use your computer a lot (like I do) you will be happier paying a small amount more for way better performance.

it depends on the requirements of yours.if you need it for playing games and for some media experiance iam recommending AMD than intel.and if you are looking for some solid high performance pc intel is better. also if you have good budget intel will be more suitable.

AMD had issues with heat in the initial stages. But now things are resolved. AMD would be a better choice if you are planning build a Gaming system.
