I think the best place I've ever had seafood was on the pier in San Francisco, but I can't remember the name of the restaurant. I also had some pretty good cajun fish in New Orleans years ago... but again the restaurant's name escapes me. Where do you think they have the worlds best seafood.

Every seafood restaurant I have eaten at in SF's Fisherman's Wharf or nearby has been really good. There was a place in Lahaina, Maui that had the best seafood chowder. And another on Kauai that had a great seafood buffet. But the best overall? Can't name one...

New Orleans does have good seafood. So does Florida and Louisiana. I would imagine the best seafood would be in Maine, if only for its prime location. Their seafood would most likely be the freshest, although the same could be said for Alaska. It seems like the best restaurants that serve seafood are not chain restaurants, but hole in the wall places where you'd never expect such a wonderful meal.
