The meaning of WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment. The reason why the WWE changed it name from the WWF was because a company World Wildlife Fund sued the WWE stating that they WWE had violated an agreement concerning the use of the acronym WWF outside of North America. The lawsuit that the World Wildlife Fund did was held in a British court room and in 2002 the WWF decided to change it name to WWE just because of that. I really think it was a dumb lawsuit but hey who cares. My favorite WWE wrestler if we talking about all-time it has to be Stone Cold and THe Rock but now in the WWE I dont really like a lot of the wrestler but I think Santino Marella is funny but I dont have a favorite one. Kane, Undertaker, Edge, Triple H, Cena, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Jericho, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels are some of the most famous ones and that are pretty good. The WWE is not what it used to be but it is the best wrestling company out there still to this day.

I dont know why there has been a change in the name of WWF to WWE. But i surely feel that all this is fake and the moves are predecided. It is a circus where characters are playing their roles to see that the audience stays and returns over and over again. Its long since i watched this but i do loved to see undertaker especially his regaining his power after having being beaten down.

The WWE is scripted but all the stunts and move they do are real. A lot of them have injuries that sometimes force them to retire. A lot of people say its fake but they do this for entertainment and a lot of them get hurt badly which is not fake at all when they injure themselves. They put there bodies on the line while performing because any small mistake they make could cause a small or even a big injury.

You, Holv03, are SO right. I worked in wrestling (WCW) for many years and still have ties to it. I saw my friends break their necks, get paralyzed (Anyone remember Droz??), and die for the business. Neck surgeries, knee surgeries, shoulder surgeries are all very common. The guys and girls are in pain all the time. I trained for 6 weeks (mandatory in ring training), and I was so bruised and hurting that I thought I would die.
People love to call wrestling fake but the only fake thing about its that they know the outcome and that they put on a show. The physicality is very real and injuries occur constantly.

The comment before mine explains the lawsuit that caused WWE to change it's name. As far as is it all fake, yes and no. I worked in wrestling in all areas so I saw it all.
Wrestling is scripted. There are storylines and the guys know the outcome of their matches. They are told they have to fill a certain amount of time and who's "going over" (winning). From there, they go out and wing it. Sometimes they talk about certain moves they will do in the ring but there is not much time to practice as people think. They get out there and they wrestle. The ref tells them when they're getting close to the finish (secretly) and they then "take the match home" (end the match).
Injuries are VERY real. The mat HURTS! The ropes hurt too and jumping om people, getting punched, getting hit with chairs, and all the other physical things hurt. Many wrestlers have been severely injured in the ring and others have had to get out of the business due to accumulated injuries. Most are in rough shape by age 40 with bad knees, arthritis, and spinal issues. Concussions are a real problem as well.
My favorite has always been Shawn Michaels. He inspired me to go for my dream of working in wrestling and, although I landed in WCW (World Championship Wrestling) during the glory days of the Monday Night Wars, Shawn was always gracious and friendly to me even though I was with the competitor.
I think John Cena gets a bum rap and is a star. I think WWE needs to strip him of the goofy moves and silly toilet humor and turn him into a mean heel like he once once. (Heel = bad guy). I like Mr. Kennedy and feel he has a lot more potential that people realize and I really like CM Punk.
I worked with Chris Jericho and adore the guy personally and professionally. His new persona is awesome.
There are so many that I admire not just in WWE but TNA as well. TNA is a smaller promotion that has Christian, Booker T., Kurt Angle, and several other WWE alumni as well as Mick Foley now plus home grown young wrestlers. It's doing well and will be competing with WWE on a bigger level soon.
So, the guys go to the arena. They have a meeting where they are all told what they will do that night. They are told who will wrestle whom and how long the match will be. They are told who will win. They then go off and try to talk out a good match that will keep the crowd pleased. The guys and girls are also told who will me making promos (talking on the mic) and given a loose script to follow. Some follow it, some don't.
Sometimes WWE likes to keep the guys in the dark and won't tell them about a match until just before it is announced. In that case, they have to go out there and really wing it. I think they do an excellent job of wrestling, talking, staying in character, and entertaining us all while trying not to get too hurt.
I enjoy wrestling and I always will. I know so much about how things go backstage that I am amazed at how good it all looks on TV. It's a very tough job with very little benefits and no job security.

Hey thats cool about hitman.....
Ya i guess it may be because of the taxing problem.....
And yes for everyones info i must say that all wrestling is fake because the human rights commission had put case against the wwf previously so in reply they had shown the clips n told them how everything works and i guess may just because of that only they changed to entertainment from fedaration....
