Are you a shock-absorber?

I am a shock-absorber. What does that mean, you may ask? Well, ever since I can remember, I've been that kind of person who listens to friends every time they spill their guts out. And believe me, sometimes what I hear makes my brain go topsy-turvy. Sometimes, when I feel like one of my friends has a problem, I usually don't initiate the heart-to-heart conversation about the problem. Why? Because sometimes, all I have to do is wait for my friend to speak up first. You see, I have this something that makes other people warm up to me and tell me things about themselves. Ever had the same experience?

Oh my Lord I am a shock absorber! People tell me things I sure don't want to hear, and they tell me don't tell anyone and I never do know why? because I usually forget what the secret was. LOL I am a good listener and I try to give out good advice I guess that's why I'm here at myLot....

I can relate to that. Sometimes, I just get surprised every time someone suddenly talks to me about his/her secrets or problems. Good thing is, I tend to forget what someone has told me. This ensures the one who talked to me that I won't tell anyone about his/her secret or problem or whatever...XD But did you ever wish that it was not the case? That nobody would bother you with their dilemmas? XD
