I am now in charge of ICT in a factory. I have been here for 6 months.but I find the job is so boring----usually nothing to learn and nothing to do. and the job is not so related with my college major ,electric engineering. I want to do some work related to what I have learn. And I am trying to find a chance.
And I want to know, my dear friend, will you continue a job, that you are not interesting in, but you can make a good earning?

I will not accept the job even if the pay is good if it is not related to my profession because if I accept the job, I'm sure I will get bored and will not last there for 6 mos. I will end up looking for a new job. So, to save time and effort, I will not accept it and will look for another job.

I stayed ten years on a job I hated and would have stayed longer but got fired. You know that old say, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

I'm doing a job right now that is super boring, but has a better wage than any job I could find in my field without having a degree yet. I've found ways to cope with it like listening to audiobooks while I work. But it does keep me motivated at least to continue my education. And I volunteer doing something related to my major on weekends so that I don't lose touch.

Hi! Well, it really depends on the situation. If it is very difficult to find a better-paying job, then it's better to stick to a job that pays well because of the NEED. If there are more jobs out there that is perfect in terms of skills learned and the interest in the field, then it's better to go for that. We have to grow in all aspects. In my case, I never had any difficulty finding jobs, so I chose to work in jobs that were related to my field and that which I am very skilled at. I needed to grow and learn more, and of course, find that kind of work more interesting.

Here and now, most company just want person who has related experience. I have just graduated from school this July. so it is not so easy to find a satisfying job.
I can stay here for more days to gain experience, but it is quite far away with my field.
Maybe it is just wasting my time. I think I should devote my effort to my field as much as possible.

yes! i would stay in the meantime. as you said there is nothing to do, well while you are in your idle time you can browse the net and look for a better job and yet good wages as well. then if you already found the perfect company for you. thats the time you leave the current. good luck!

In my opinion what is a great paid job worth if you are not happy with it on an everyday basic and you are not challenged enough! Great pay is great and nice but certainly not everything,I would try searching for a different job if I were you. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks, Maja
