            Chinese components
There are three aspects to the structure of a Chinese character, the strokes, the components, and the whole character.
the components are the core structure of a Chinese character.
Today we talk about one character.
The character "?" (mountain)is a pictograph, in oracle-bone script, it looks like three mountains. The number three in Chinese means multitude, so three mountains represent a chain of mountains. Later, three mountains were simplified into three vertical strokes:this is how the Chinese character"?”came into being.
