There are some discussions which I would not personally call discussions like which soap do you use, or what is your favourite colour, but they seem to get maximum responses. Im surprised then. Ive seen really good discussions which do not get even 3 responses, which leaves me surprised.

No, I do not feel surprised. There may be many reasons for large number of responses, even by a new user and by a older one too. It depends how many were on-line to check the discussion and how interesting and simple was the discussion. To my mind, simple discussion fetches more responses.

yes of course that is amazing if i reach that responses. and thinking that i watch the mylotters of my topic.

Some times I am surprised to see that. Definitely that might be a good discussion that many people wanted to respond. Other factor is our relation with mylot friends, which I am not so sure, but matters in getting responses. If you are quarrelsome or rude to friends over here, nobody will bother to respond. There are some really worthy discussions getting not much responses, the reason which I also don't know. May be the way it was presented is wrong. Had it been presented in a different format, it would have been got many responses. Getting 40-50 responses within 20 hours or so is a great thing in myLot, I feel.

I has a lot to do with the nature of the discussion and the ease with people understand and want to say something about it. Further and very importantly it requires the involvement of your friends. I personally have not crossed the 40 mark, but have come close to it. It does feel good not doubt, but what makes one feel better is to know that most of them are your friends and also the stimulating quality of the interactions.

I used to be surprised at first.But now I go t so used to it to the level of anticipating a lot of responses for some people here.They are so witty and managed to have so many friends.That is the secret of the shower of responses.

Oh yes, it freaks me out to see so many responses to some discussions! And everytime I post mine I hope to reach there but I just cannot make it! May be poor networking, poor timing and bad framing of discussion. However, whatever response I get I appreciate those and try to make it interesting. After all quality matters the most. yes definitely. i remember yesterday or so i noticed something similar like that. the new comer has got more than 40 responses in few hours. may be they are very much enabled.

It's no biggie - you add another 500 friends and you'll find virtually your every discussion bagging 50+ responses. Try adding more and more - you'll be startled to find the number of responses snowballing.

Sorry to disappoint you dear but I do not check the number of responses that mylotters get for their discussions. I just post in responses to discussions on topics that I like.

it does surprise me alot when i see the responses i've got, has passed the 30-40 mark.but it happens rarely.you need to be very lucky for that.but some times it is quite disheartening to find that i have got less than 10 responses.

i always wondering to get more than 50+ and whne i see the other friends i get envy but really the sense is that they top up the discussion by reponding again and agina to make it fresh and being in top what i am not doing so to get more responses
