I really do not know. Maybe it's nature. I am also selfish but not at all times. If I have something and somebody is asking for that, I still have to think many times if he or she is worthy of being given. I just make sure that the things I will give will be properly taken cared of. With regard to beggars or street children, I usually don't give because I think that it would be better if they will not depend on other people. If they just make use of their skills, then they would never become beggars. When I was still a student, I only give answers to my classmates whom I think can also give me answers if I don't have. In conclusion, I am selfish.

hi srikool! whew! this is a very timing topic for me. a hot one. i don't know why people are selfish but for some reasons, i think one is because they have been deprived of some things as a child? they were not that loved? or, they're just bitter in this life because they think life is unfair..sigh..i've been experiencing these problems with some of my friends now..though i know it's gonna end soon and we'll all be happy..thanks =)

There is saying that goes 'having more is less and having less is more'. The first theories about selfishness stems from survival instinct: The more resources we have, the more chance we get up in the ladder of evolution. The less we have, the more chance will face extinction.
