verification of telephone numbers

I keep getting calls from a number, the person on the other end of the phone says his name and then the phone goes dead. I phoned them back time and time again to find out who it was but the number just rings out. I am trying to find a way to find out whom the number belongs to any ideas.

Have you tried calling that number back from a different phone, to the one hes ben calling you on? That why he cold pick up he phone thinking its someone else. Whoever it is sounds like hes playing a very silly game. Perhaps you could block the number somehow? xx
