do you smile back if someone would smile at you? even if someone you don't know?

i am just curious how many of us smiles back at anyone who smiles on us? including those we are not familiar with. i do smile back and wonder who it was. LOL. i think it is better than not to smile back, it could be an acquaintance that we don't remember at all so it would be safe to smile than being tagged as a snob. what do you think?

yes, I have done that many times. When someone smiled at me even if I don't know him/her I would definitely smile back. There are times also that I am disappointed to my friends who don't smile back when I will smile at them. It would stopped me and think... did I do something wrong? why they did not smile back? I just comfort myself alter, that maybe they are too busy to see me? or they are in a hurry to give back a smile?

i think that really depends on my mood. sometimes, when people i don't know smile at me, i would sort of smile back, but with a bit of confused expression. i usually do this when i'm in a good mood. when i'm in a hurry or in a bad mood though, i would just avert my eyes.

hi friend. i do smile back. same with you, i dont want to be a snob. maybe its a good thing to smile. it takes 24 muscles to smile and 45 muscles to frown. so smile! the best anti-aging formula.

how do you not smile back? I don't care how angry or down in the dumps I am, I can't help but smile at someone who smiles back. Sometimes my smile is brighter than other times but even at my worst...someone smiling at me always gives me a little lift.

Some people are otherwise smiley and we found them all the time smiling. You will never find them in bad mood. It is but natural when ever some one may look at you and smile and you will respond smiling in reciprocation. As like you, in the marketing business to give a smile to the customer is the mantra.

I usually like to smile back at someone. It actually makes me happy and feel like there is some positivity in the world. It shows that someone is in a good mood and could possible be a nice person.
There is no sense in walking around smug. You might as well smile and enjoy the world around you.

It's very natural for me to smile back to those who smile at me, it's a good gesture. I work in clothing retail so whenever someone smiles I must smile, and I usually smile even if they don't initiate it, you have to keep the customers happy, and if you smile, they are less likely to complain at you. Now that I have to do that at work all the time I end up thinking I am at work outside of work, and by that I mean that I initiate smiles with people I don't know, I can't help myself but to do it since I am so used to it at work haha. Well anyways, have a great day/night, and happy mylotting to you!

Yes, I do smile back, even at people I'm not familiar with. It's like some sort of knee-jerk reaction for me, for some reason. =)
