According to the news in England some of Princess Diana's letters etc are going to be sold.
I think this is so wrong and the Princes should have these letters and if they don't want them then they should be allowed to burn them.
BUT.... on a lighter note.... anyone want to buy my diaries and letters??? Bet you wouldn't pay as much as Diana's are going to go for.
What are your views on this?

I think there have been so many programmes on tv regarding Princess Diana's letters and diaries, that we already know quite a lot about what they contain. Now your diaries and letters Anne! None of us know what is in them so we might pay a lot more for them...hee, hee.

Yes, I agree with you, her sons should have them. But I'm afraid it will not be tha case - the person who sells them will make pretty nice money with. It's a pity, of course.
Royalties and celebrities are humans also - or actually, they are humans at first, fame and titles are secondary, and they have feelings too. Unfortunately too many people forget about it in their greed.
As for buying your diaries and letters - thanks, but no, thanks BTW, once upon a time when I got through a hard period in my life I wrote a diary too. Well, I found it about five years ago... my first reaction was: OMG! My second: where I can find an oven to burn it ASAP? I found an oven, couple of months later on my aunts' place, and so I have nothing to sell anymore

I agree with you that this is wrong, they should belong to the boys it was their Mum and I do not understand why people would want to do that to them. But that is how people are I guess.

Well I think they are a part of history. I don't know about yours? I don't have to worry about which to buy because I have no cash. I really think that when you are a public figure or a public family you have learned toexpect that you have no privacy.

I think it depends on why they are being sold. I mean, if the sons have set this up as a way to raise money for their mom's favorite causes, then sure.. why not? If someone's doing this against the family's wishes, then heck no. Motive is a big thing in my book. I do agree the boys should have a say in what happens... Especially depending on the content of the letters and such.

I think it is terrible what some people would do for a buck. I think that you are absolutely right about what should happen to Princess Diana's letters Her sons should make the decision as to what will happen to them, not some greedy person in the media, or where ever this person is who wants to sell them.

Put them on E-bay and see how it gets! You might be surprised how much hey can get. Regarding Princess Diana's letter I am against that they will be published. It was not her intention that her letters be published. I think that her will is not being respected.

Sad. She was chased continually by pappa razzi all her life and still the public clamors for more. I understand that celebrity means you give up certain parts of your private live, but there should be something kept back. I agree it should be saved as a historical document for later generations, but not put on display for several generations.

I think they should keep them so people could look at some diaries.letters and not burn .they should be kept for the public to see and read if they want to...
