How has the rising oil prices and U.S recession affected your life, recently ??

All the intelligent myLotters must be knowing about the recent rapid increase in oil prices, rising price of other essential commodities, weakening dollar, recession in U.S economy, bankruptcy of Lehman bros.
Has it in some way or the other affected or lives either directly or indirectly ???
So how has it affected your house budget, monthly expenditure, your job etc. ???
What steps have you taken to live according to this situation ???

Hi friend,U.S recession has affected our country India too.It has affected the share market and I.T industry,When share market gets affected it results in the down fall of realestate.Many students who was placed in big I.T companies in the campus interviews has not received any call for letters.Its being postponed and many employees are sent away from the companies.Due to rise in oil prices all the daily used commodities have become very expensive.Adding to all this we have power cuts too in our state,Life has become a struggle these days.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

Yes it has. I am trying to save up on car fuel by doing car sharing to my place of work. This might help me save some bucks at the end of the week. I am trying not to spend beyond my means and save for a rainy day.
