I love to knit, and my favorite thing to knit is intricate patterns such as Aran or intarsia knits. I usually knit sweaters (human) but now that I have mini Dachshunds I also knit dog sweaters.
What's your favorite knitting project? Do you sell them or just give them as gifts?

I enjoy knitting socks more than anything, they dont last long once Ive started them, there is always somone who wants that pair Ive just started.
I dont sell the socks, I give them as gifts. I do make hats for people locally who dont knit or crochet, I'll usually make one and get orders for them during winter so I do sell them just at a cost to replace the wool.
I also make crochet blankets and donate them to a Salvation Army womens refuge, they can always use more and they know the blankets are gifts for the women with children not just to use.
I love Aran and lace pattern knitting as well, I normally dont get time to incorporate them into my socks as they are always needed asap by the kids or farmers but hope to do some very soon after Ive finished all those unfinished items from ten yrs ago.
Intarsia and Entrac is something Ive always wanted to do so will give that a go very soon, I did knit those styles yrs back in my early teens but have forgotten how to do it.
Doggy clothes is another thing I need to get going before the winter comes around again, Ive got a mini fox terrior and 2 chuhuaha's who dont like the cold and find they get super dirty in their bought jackets which arent cheap so plan to make them a few different outfits.

I would love to knit socks. I am so busy right now that I haven't got time or the patience to sit and work through the socks pattern. I am finishing up a knit sweater coat (it has been in the works for several years, and also have another summer knit sweater that I want to do in bamboo yarn. I love the feel of bamboo and am trying to keep my resolve to finish the sweater coat before I get the bamboo yarn for the sweater. It's tough to say the least as the bamboo sweater would take a lot less time to knit than finishing the sweater coat...but I also want the sweater coat for this winter too.
I knit a coat for my Doxies, and want to do a couple more dog sweaters for them too, but it amounts to finding the time. I hadn't thought of doing blankets for the various charities, but when I slow down a bit I will start doing those too.
It's great hearing about someone else who knits like a fiend too! You've got me wanting to try the socks soon...especially since I can't keep nice warm socks that wear well. The store bought socks wear out too quickly because of the way I walk because of the injuries to my legs. So, off I trot to find the sock yarn and sock needles...

There are a couple of things I really enjoy knitting: Socks and a hobo type hand bag. I haven't sold any yet, but have given socks for gifts. I've thought off and on about selling them, but I have to pace myself because of shoulder problems so probably couldn't make enough to make it worthwhile.

I don't really have a favourite project. I like small things, because I am an instant gratification kind of person, and if a project can be done in an hour, I'm happier. I have knit larger things, like dog sweaters, people sweaters, and slippers.
I occasionally sell items but I usually give them as gifts.

I'm not sure if I have an absolute favorite thing to knit. I often go in fits and starts. I'll love knitting one thing for a bit and make a few of them, then I'll get bored and move on to something new.
I actually do sell my knitting so I have to make a few different versions of the same item....arm warmers, or cell phone cozies or whatever.
I also give things as gifts. Most people get knitted holiday gifts from me.
For me knitting is relaxing and my favoirte hobby. It's nice to be able to sell things and make a little bit of money from it too :-)

hi i am a very amature knitter lol so the thing that i knit the most are baby bonnets
i knit tiny baby bonnets with the tube holes in for premature babies in hospitals and then i give , them to a few local charities that supply hospitals with the bonnets for babies in speacial care and intensive care
i just do it as a hobby really i have never attempted anything more difficult, one of these days im sure i will have a go but until then i am happy doing what i am doing at the moment.
