Is the US economic problem will lead to depression???

It makes me wonder if all this news ive read on the net and the news shown on CNN about the US economic problem will lead to depression. One of the big companies in the US has billions of debt that the US government is saving it from bankruptcy and the price of gas is souring high. Will these economic problem will lead to depression? what do you think about the current US economic crisis? Do you guys think they could still find a solution to the current situation? I would love to hear your views regarding this matter.

well we are well on our way if something is not done soon with the price of food scoaring and gas prices out of control we maybe going down that lane.we have so many people out of work drawing unempolyment and food stamps and more companies shutting down everyday.its getting to the point i don,t know what we are going to do .we need a change and quick.

I hope it will not lead to depression though...I am getting concern about this since this is a problem that will affect a lot of people. Not just american but other countries whose local product were exported in the US. It will also affect there economy. And i dont want that to happen.
