My child wont stop talking

Ok so my son is 6 and he is constantly gettin in trouble in clas for talking and playing when he is suppose to be working. He always gets his work done and makes good marks however I feel like he is a distraction to those around him and I have tried many punishments to make him stop. Such as: taking tv, computer, games, wii, and other toys away but that seems to only distract him long enough to find something else to do. He just wont be a good child and do as he is told in class. What would you do? Advise me please.
