Give and Take

In our lifetime, we come across a great assortment of people, each unique in their own way of thinking.
Some people are Givers, and expect nothing in return.
Other people are Takers, and expect others to give all to them and they give nothing in return.
Perhaps, you have family members who are one way or the other.
Most friends would give you the shirt off their back, and then there are some friends who will take everything you have and leave you feeling as though you owe them more.
It is my sincere feeling that friendships, relationships and even marriage should be based on the give and take principle. It will never be a 50-50 friendship, relationship or marriage. You each give some and you each take some. Neither person should give all or take all.
What kind of experience have you had with Give and Take in your lifetime?

I have always been the giver when it comes to relationships and friendships. They were always the takers from me. I have no friends because of it. I just have my husband and my daughter to count on and we all three, give and take from one another so it all works out.
